Many of us Canadians don't admire our country very much at all either. And no personal offence taken. But slurs of our policemen are a different matter. Not that I think offence was intended, but still.
Separate Canada from Canadian individuals, however. Canada may be lost, but there are still some strong, proud Canadians out there. Like yours truly and many of the FReepers around.
That's fine if you you don't want to execute your killers, but at least send them back here for justice. Which only leads to the question of why you'd want them running around your country anyway??? Until we called your extradition bluff on Chang, he was set to be YOUR next national poster boy on torture and murder of Canadian citizens.
they have successful businesses so they think they are immune from any criticism, even though everything they cite as signs of our stupidity are things their country would never, ever even attempt to change. i just got so sick of it i don't even see them anymore.
that said, i DO think 71 days of investigating any house should have been plenty of time to find the tapes:>
i'm not sure canada is LOST, either....just like i don't think france is necessarily LOST (puke)....they just have to have things get bad enough to want to change themselves.
I also think that a lot of folks here in the States have trouble seperating Quebec from the rest of Canada. Go almost anywhere outside of Ontario, and you generally find sensible people. Ontario, and Quebec in particular, the odds are somewhat less.
