BAGHDAD (AFP) - Iraqi President Jalal Talabani said the deadly explosions that hit London prove that terrorism is an global plague that can strike anywhere.
"What is happening in Iraq can happen in any country," Talabani -- whose country is the scene of daily insurgent bombings -- told reporters following attacks on London's public transport earlier in the day.
"I'm telling my Arab brothers that terrorism today in Iraq will tomorrow affect other Arab countries, as has already happened in Yemen and Saudi Arabia," he also warned on Thursday.
Iraq's government is seeking support from Arab neighbours in its fight against insurgents who have turned much of the country into a battleground.
Ping
A global plague caused by Muslims.
If they want a crusade, let's give them a crusade.
And is Kennedy Pelosa et al listening to this?
The silence coming from Arab leaders is deafening! Has even one condemned the London murders yet?
I wonder when it is going to dawn on them that they are "behind the curve" of history?
no, they can't see they are behind the curve of history...... they are too arrogant and the partisanship makes them blind.
I'd love to hear one of those shrill Dems speak out. Not a word, though, from dunce corner.
The spokesman in London said we should not refer to these people as Islamic terrorists -- almost choked on the coke I was drinking. And just what PC crap was he peddling?
Wishfull thinking AFP. Most of the country is actually quiet but hey we are talking about the LSM. Any vowel or noun that can be used to disparage the WOT you can be assured that thee MSM will use them.\
Our PC denial is incredible.
The counter-punch to which is only found in Afghanistan and Iraq, so far. The reason you can get a President of Iraq to condemn terrorism is that he doesn't use it as a matter of national policy like the Saudis, Palestinians, Iranians, Syrians, etc.
W is right. The Bush Doctrine lives!
