I have also been giving some thought to Mason as a possible new abode. I am looking for places that are close to cities (about an hour to two hours away) but not too close.

Thanks Army Air Corps.I was in Geogia as a young girl when my father was on base and we lived there for 3 years.I could see the Carolina borderline from the airstrip.Never been to Texes but it is sounds so nice.

That is just part of it and that isn't the best part. Texas Tech University has a LOT of land area. The student population is about 30,000 but the campus is spread out over hundreds of acres.

You know what i check that out they want somebody age between 45 to 65 to be CBS anchorman OH MAN I am too young LOL! that sucks

Well, you don't really notice that the student body is that large. For one thing, the campus is large and the students are dispersed over a wide area. Second, it is a friendly university and the students tend to make one another feel at home.

Oh, I used to go through Mason when I went to visit my son at A&M. Another great little town!

Ah, the bluebonnets! We took a trip to Sonora this past spring to see them bloom! They were beautiful!
