This goes on at the large consulting firm my sister works for. Clients show up specifically requesting a certain percentage of minorities be part of the team assigned them. It's crazy.
I wonder if all the firms currently suing Wal-Mart over diversity- and discrimination-related issues have the same problem? Perhaps? Would be pretty hypocritical for a firm suing on behalf of aggrieved victims of alleged discrimination to not have people of color on their boards of directors, wouldn't it?
Why aren't there more women and minorities at NASA's Mission Control. Why don't more women and minorities win the Nobel prizes for Science and Economics?

If you are a Black man or woman with a college degree, the business world is yours. If you have a graduate or law degree, just wait a few years and you'll be CEO of a major corporation. There is no corporate ladder, it is a one-way elevator to the top. White men have to step to the back of the line. I see this every day in my business dealings.
This whole story sounds like bullshit.
Translation: Fire a white male now. Promote a black woman to his job. I don't care what their qualifications are.
Imagine that a law firm has been turned down by Wal-Mart for not meeting its "diversity" criteria. And futher suppose that they were to sue Wal-Mart for insisting what is a baldfaced racial quota. And further suppose that the case made its way to a Supreme Court where Justice Alberto Gonzales was sitting. Gonzales must be stopped - Bush needs to nominate real conservatives to the SCOTUS
