I would not recommend thinking like this.

In my experience, if you try to kill someone with a .357, you will likely fail, if you drop a .22 while loaded you will likely kill someone in error.

Never give up is good advice, but treat every firearm with respect, as even a .177 pellet can kill. A girl in Boston recently got killed by a "nonlethal" pepper ball from an air gun.
