I just saw Norah on MSNBC as well. I couldn't believe the way she was acting. She was making it sound like that the end of the Bush administration was imminent. All she could talk about was Rove and some huge Administration conspiracy. These O'Donnell's are psycho!!!!
I don't believe it is Colin Powell -- no matter what Freepers think of him, he would not have leaked this -- Wilson and his wife were small potatoes compared to what Powell dealt with. He is former military, a friend of the Bush family, and would not have leaked IMHO.
While I think that Senators leak like a sieve, Novak did say it was someone who worked for the administration.
I'd love it to be Leaky Leahy, but alas....
All the speculation about republicans is probably misdirection. I read in the WP today that BOTH reporters' sources have been identified from emails and BOTH have given the reporters permission to reveal their identities. It sure ain't Karl Rove who's given such permission.
Rove released ALL reporters weeks ago.
Iraq did try to buy yellowcake from Niger. The forged documents were planted as a "poison pill" to discredit what was otherwise a well developed piece of intelligence.

I think I also read today that the emails indicate it was the reporters who told many administration figures Plames' identity, and not the other way around.
Just so much spin. They don't even know the target of the probe! LOL
I know and actually had a letter to the editor published about how Wilson lied. I was just remembering what a shocking moment it was in the 9/11 hearing when a Congresscritter basically called Wilson a liar, and it didn't rate coverage on any news outlet except FNC.

I am with you on Powell -- I will not believe he is the leaker and no way would Cooper go to jail for him. Some Freepers just hate him on here and believe any rumor they see even if it is not based on fact.
Think the story here is more about Wilson's trip to Niger when he lied but I could be wrong -- it is the only thing that makes sense though since Wilson himself talked about his wife being CIA.
If you can find a link to that, I'd love to read it! Wouldn't that be something if the press leaked Plame's name and made up their source, ala Woodward and Felt.

Yes but I believe the source or sources of the Plame information also released both reporters, but they were still refusing to testify. That is why the prosecutor has been saying they are misusing the privilege even if it existed and that the media ought not to be pushing the privilege point in this case.
Glad you brought up Jay Rockefeller -- knew there was someone I was trying to remember and I think you are right that this goes beyond Wilson's wife direct to Wilson who had two different stories on the Niger trip.
