Why doesn't Miller's source just stand up and say "it's me"?Good question.

"My bet is that the leaker is someone from the State Dept."
Both the CIA and State had divisions sturying WMD. The group that sent Wilson to Niger were apparently comprised of officials from both.

New York Times correspondent Judith Miller (C) walks with members of her legal team from the Federal Court in Washington June 29, 2005. The U.S. Supreme Court on June 27, 2005 rejected an appeal by Miller and Time magazine reporter Matthew Cooper who argued that they should not have to reveal their confidential sources to a grand jury investigating the leak by government officials of a covert CIA operative's name to the news media

The most recent prominent case of someone being sent to jail for refusing to testify before a grand jury was Susan MacDougall. I wonder if she'll be coaching Judith on how to dress for the cameras in chains.

You're probably right about when he learned of Wilson. I think the prosecutor has gotten beyond just how her name was disseminated but is now after who knew what and when and Rove is not included in that question because I think his previous testimony has been satisfactorily explained to the GJ.

I suspect it was for the same reason -- she didn't want to get caught in perjury.

"Matthew Cooper up and he is whining for a national shield law."
Whatever. A court said even with that law he would have to testify in this instance.

What the HELL is Shephard Smith talking about, the prosecutor is investigating whether Karl Rover committed perjury before the Grand Jury? Did you hear Brit keep correcting that fool?
To: Shermy
Do you remember during the 9/11 hearings that some Congresscritter asked Joe Wilson why his report about yellowcake uranium was the exact opposite of what Wilson was saying in public?
