When he was running for president, President Bush said that he would use Justices Antonin Scalia and Clarence Thomas, the two most aggressively and ideologically extreme activist justices on the Supreme Court, as his models for future appointees. If this is true, we should be reminding the White House about it daily. Gonzales is no Scalia.

A copy of PFAW's 2003 annual report examined by National Review Online lists dozens of corporations as contributors. The companies include Sony Corporation of America, the New York Times, 20th Century Fox Television (a division of Rupert Murdoch's News Corp.), Best Buy Corporation, A&E Television Network, Eastman Kodak, NBC, Home Box Office, Inc., the Hearst Corporation, Comcast Corporation, Blockbuster, Inc., J.P. Morgan Chase & Co., Sotheby's, and Conde Nast. Best Buy must be happy about the recent decision on eminent domain, because they used the City of Richfield, MN to acquire property for their world headquarters.

"We try to be pretty careful here that the C-3 does not take positions for or against judicial nominees," Mincberg told NRO. "That's done by the C-4, People for the American Way." Mincberg said that most, if not all, of the corporate contributions went to the People for the American Foundation, and therefore did not support PFAW's opposition to Bush judicial nominees. "Activity that is out there opposing nominees is not done by the C-3," Mincberg said, "and therefore the corporations' buying tables shouldn't be supporting that."
Ah, yes. And of course the expenses I charge as business supplies are never used to buy snacks.....

DRUDGE is running a story on Sen Schumer. DRUDGE claims the Drudge Report was along side Schumer as he told a Dim ally that they are planning to go to war, no matter whom the nominee is.
The point being that BUSH cannot reach out, compromise or be a uniter as there will be no acceptance no matter whom they select. So the contention that FRIST will do away with 200 years of Senate checks and balance sis BS. There is no DIMS on the American Way side of getting things accomplished.
No Gonzo; No compromise; No Senate Agreement; USE THE NUCLEAR OPTION and nominate anyone who the opposition will most strongly fight!

One of the great myths of our time is the idea that rich people are republicans...and poor and middle class people are democrats.
A sizable percentage of wealth and connected people vote democrat.
A percentage of those (besides Soros et al) are actually beyond liberal...moving into the leftist / socialist camp. Byron York chronicles that in his book.
What happens when you mix a pseudo-egalitarian brand of socialism with an elitist monied crony capitalism?
You get the Kelo vs New London decision....and a lot more ultimately.
IMO...you eventually evolve towards what a call a neo-feudal society.

It is time for exposing these big-business, big-corporation, big-union special interest groups that are committed to the Radical Left and its agenda. Wherever a Howard Dean or Ted Kennedy spouts the "rich Republican" or "big business Republican" line, that Democratic Liberal's Party's ties to George Soros, the media giants, big businesses, and wealthy labor unions should be publicized.
As evidenced by the broad-based Republican support in all the "red" states, the wealthy Northeastern Liberals who are most critical of Mr. Bush have little in common with ordinary American citizens out in the heartland.
A Party's primary spokespersons who claim that it, alone, speaks for and on behalf of the ordinary working men and women should let the people know where its real allegiance lies--with the people, or with big corporations, media giants, and unions which sap millions in dues from those who can least afford to give up part of their incomes for Radical Left causes.

I'll pick people who one, can do the job; people who are honest, people who are bright; and people who
will strictly interpret the Constitution and not use the bench to legislate from. That's what I campaigned on, and that's what I'm going to do."

PING-
NO SHOCK TO SEE THE MEDIA OUTLETS ON THIS LIST.
And as for the claim that the donations only went to those loons because executives were getting awards....
WELL...If their executives were getting awards from liberal groups.......then they must have been acting in a liberal fashion. Because those liberal groups only like folks who carry their anti-American/Communist line.
From the article-
"An executive from the Hearst Corporation had a similar explanation, saying the company had purchased tables at a PFAW awards dinner for industry executives.""

Nobody should be shocked about this...when ya think about it.
Most of the Rich elites in this country are liberal.
They push a liberal agenda because they know it stops an ownership society. Therefore keeping them rich...and the rest of us 'mortals' out of their elitist circles.
THEY DON'T REALLY FOLLOW LIBERAL VALUES....they just use them the get what they want.
So in a way......They represent the control factor of the liberal arena.

There is a reason these companies, and many others, are pushing a liberal scale these days.
MOST OF THEM HAVE A CULTURE OF THE LAWYERS MAKING ALL THE AFFECTING DECISIONS FOR THE GROUP.
Power, greed, elite mental state,.....There are a ton of companies run by liberals that have screwed their own employees.
