Several bloggers have drawn attention to a strange lead in a Washington Post story about the Terri Schiavo autopsy results. The June 16 Post story by David Brown said that "Terri Schiavo died of the effects of a profound and prolonged lack of oxygen to her brain on a day in 1990, but what caused that event isn't known and may never be, the physician who performed her autopsy said

Thanks for the ping, 8mmMauser. Very nicely written column.
"The unborn, human embryos, and disabled people like Terri Schiavo. These are the expendable ones, according to the prevailing media view. I always thought that liberals were supposed to be compassionate. The liberal media are strangely cold and calculating on the matter of who lives and dies. If you don't meet their test of humanity, you're dead. It's frightening. Who's next on the list?"
Never send to know for whom the bell tolls; it tolls for thee.
Less human = more animal = who care in the media.
GOD + life (any amount) = good
Liberal MSM bias ping.
-Useless Eaters vs The Death Cult--
Unfortunately, many other "rights" trump the right to life these days.
save for later
You know I realize this may be asking for a lot but do you think it's possible to actually title a thread on the issue with applying some sort of martyr status to one camp while castigating the other? I mean you don't see the other camp with a thread titled Reasonable Understanding Conservatives vs The Statist Loons do you?
As for the actual thread, is it possible, again I realize this is asking for a lot, for supporters of the Schindlers to disagree on this issue without out of touch hyperbolic calls for impeachment, childish namecalling and slander of those involved, and Scientology references
The issue has never been the rationale of a 'cult of death' but rather what role government should play in any decision.
Isn't it horrible. We are a culture of death. We let people who wouldn't normally be able to sustain themselves die, is this abhorrent or what. When I saw last nights car accident on TV, and how the guy only had a head and a stump I thought.. MY GOD.. this guy could still be alive.. hook him up to machines QUICK. We should all be allowed to live forever on machines whether we have a brain or not, stupid dems.
Was it wrong to kill Terri Schiavo?
Yes 86.8% 1,428
No 7.7% 127
Pass 3.3% 55
Undecided 2.2% 36
100.0% 1,646

Isn't it strange, though, that he didn't wait for the autopsy results before publishing his book? Wouldn't it have been better to include more information, or was rushing it into stores more important?
Two, why as a conservative do I care about a poll? Is that now how Constitutional issues, separation of powers, and the proper limitations of government are decided? What about the rule of law? Facts?
Your entire post shows a poll. So is that your final argument? Because 1427 people agree with you (on a very badly worded question I might add, talk about slant..), it means they have carte blanche to make nonsensical arguments, slander Michael Schiavo (who hasn't been charged with anything BTW), and develop conspiracy theories as truth and fact?
"Where there is life, there is hope"..Terri Schindler
Could you please post where this quote came from? A poem she wrote before 1990? Family home video? Or were you channeling it somehow?
I am so confused by your post. The courts (the state if you will) insinuated themselves into Terri's life and death. To me, you appear to have the issue completely backwards. With all due respect. I would surely hope that the law would do what it's supposed to do (protect us) and not step in and HELP someone kill me.
susie
The Medical Examiner announced at the beginning that he would issue the report within two to three weeks after the autopsy. He then delayed it for ten weeks before issueing the report. Could the M.E. have delayed the issue the report intentially after the setting of the print date?
See post #8 for any research you need.
