A dozen anti-war activists from Mendocino County took their tops off at high noon in San Francisco's Union Square shopping district Thursday, using what they said was their best weapon to get the public's attention.

Members of the Breasts Not Bombs contingent, which included seven women, three men and two young girls, said the war in Iraq is indecent, not their nakedness.
After more than two years of opposition to the war, protesters are having a hard time grabbing headlines, said Sheba Love, size 40D.
...
"Hey! Explain this to me!" said an agog visitor from Florida, approaching San Francisco police Sgt. Carl T., who was assigned to keep an eye on the crowd and who really has only a letter for a last name.
"It's not illegal," the sergeant told the woman.
...
Technically, the sergeant explained, nudity can be considered misdemeanor indecent exposure if the person in their birthday suit has an intention to titillate. Because the protest is political, not sensual or lewd, it really doesn't count, he said.
Several tourists said the protest irked them not because of the adults, but because Glaser's 9-year-old daughter and the girl's 10-year-old friend, were also bare-chested. The girls brought their half-naked dolls to the protest, too.
"You can't put that kind of picture on your computer these days ... you'll get busted. I really don't think it's right they have little girls without shirts."
Breasts Not Bombs .. The group was formed a year ago, after two of Glaser's friends were made to don their shirts after dancing topless at a Mendocino Park Fourth of July party. That sparked a conversation about indecency and cultural shock values.

And having a photo of a topless 9-year old girl on your computer -- could get you in BIG trouble. Maybe Breasts Not Bombs might consider dropping the act of involving children -- they might get more COVERAGE (no pun intended).
Dragging the underage kids into this...not a good idea. In addition, it probably undercuts the scant level of support they were getting anyway.
Also, no one will probably care that the men aren't wearing shirts.
They should fly them to Bagdad, let them protest on the streets there.
Mainstream media loves this kind of story. It gives them a chance to talk about nudity, to show naked bodies with pixelized parts, and best of all it eliminates the sharp pains they get in their heads when they would otherwise have to think to present an analysis of a truly important story.
but because Glaser's 9-year-old daughter and the girl's 10-year-old friend, were also bare-chested.
If 40D doesn't work, maybe she can at least attract attention from the pedofiles out there.
40D??? Mooo.
People who use children as political props are the lowest form of demogogue.
That is the average size in St. Louis. Nothing to see here...move along now.

I suppose only someone this odd could survive a job as a cop in a zoo like San Francisco.
Actually I see it more as that old chestnut about slow-boiling a frog in a pot of cold water. I'm no longer in SF Bay Area. I'm in a redstate. People see me and immediately think I'm a "hippie" and because of my clothing. What you can purchase in re "threads" in the SF Bay area are not at all what appear in stores here in a red state. I'm conservative, no two ways about that. But my language, my behaviors, my "garb" appear to redstaters as tho I'm a hippie. My point being: Carl T may not be odd. He may be a "survivor" despite socialism in the SF Bay Area -- like many conservatives are "survivors and fighters" while in a Socialist Mecca.
Great line I read back in the 70s: In order to survive an insane society; the sane man must appear insane.
Truly, I have no clue about Carl T. But I'm willing to explain a possibility.
Some of we women FReepers have big breasts as well.
Chances are, when a man says more than a handful is a waste...he's never held more than a handful.
Wouldn't it have been great to be walking through there with a bag of clothespins?
OUCH!!!! (Throwing my arms protectively across my chest)

Yep. Saw it during the Terripalooza. People had their little kids arrested.
Disgusting... Absolutely disgusting..
