"Today the U.S. media, for obvious reasons, drastically scaled back its coverage of the Natalee Holloway disappearance. So with that supposedly corrupt element out of the picture, now the "fair" media outlets remaining on the trail can present the true picture of what's going on."

The radio in aruba, working with some of the govt. authorities there are going to make hay with noone to refute them, I believe.
I agree that there is nothing to indicate kidnapping, but there is also nothing to indicate murder or even violence. The boys lied when they first got arrested which indicates something but it's debatable what it means.

WASHINGTON - A Navy dive team that checked the waters off Iraq for explosives before the American invasion could be used in the search for a missing Alabama girl in Aruba, the country's prime minister says.
Prime Minister Nelson Oduber made the request in a letter to Sen. Richard Shelby in response to the Alabama Republican's suggestion that Aruba give the FBI more authority in the search for Natalee Holloway.
In his letter, Oduber says he was made aware of the unit — known as Naval Special Clearing Team One — by a Texas dive team that has been helping to look for Holloway.
"I would like to request you to use your influence to gain this authorization for the deployment of this unit free of charge to Aruba as soon as possible," Oduber wrote in the letter, dated July 1.
Shelby forwarded the request to the Pentagon and State departments, but a Navy spokesman, Lt. Herb Josey, said Thursday there had been no formal diplomatic request for use of the team. He also questioned how useful the unit could be, since it specializes in covert exercises such as detecting and de-mining underwater explosives.
"I don't know why this team would be better than any other team, but they obviously have experience working underwater," said Lt. Herb Josey.
In an interview from London, Shelby said he hoped Oduber's request was a genuine bid to help the investigation and not retaliation for his complaints that Aruba's search was insufficient.
"We're not going to stop," Shelby said. "We want a professional investigation of what's going on down there. We're not going to look around and ignore what looks to be not a thorough, perhaps even a shoddy investigation."
Holloway disappeared May 30 in Aruba while celebrating her graduation from high school in Mountain Brook, Ala. Although three young men have been connected with her disappearance, none has been charged.
In Shelby's original letter last week asking for more FBI involvement, he called the Aruban investigation a "dead end."

this does not surprise me......it was 2 or 3 wks ago when I saw an aruban govt spokesman suggest that Natalees and JVDS backgrounds were equal character and achievement.....I can't remember which official it was, but the remark was made when there were stories in the press of what a sleaze JVDS has been long before Natalee even went to aruba.
If I was in Congress, I'd call for hearings into this matter. I am REALLY PO'd about this!

You have to go through the hotel (either through the front or through the pool if coming from the beach) to get to her room. Also, yes you have to have a key to even get into the building where the rooms are located, but the door to the outside ("patio") cannot be opened with a key-card. It must be opened from the inside.

As someone mentioned yesterday(?) During the summer of '01 we were absorbed with the Chandra Levy story and then Sept. 11th. Here we are in '05 and it's the Natalee Holloway case and now the London terrorist attack.This could be the death knell for this case in the media.

No, Sean was with me the entire trip. I can attest to his whereabouts the entire time. He went there with us and came back with us. I dont know how any of this got started in the first place.
I don't know if anyone flew back on Friday... everything from Sunday on is a blur... I didnt get out of bed for a while and didnt know what day it was for a while. I know a few students did go back though to aid in the search, but I cant say specifically when they left.

Ruth was a roommate, and no they aren't related. I have no idea why Sean was randomly plucked out to be attacked. He didn't do anything. I owuld actually like to ask yall if you know when, why, and how this rumor came about?

I think that kid put something in her drink. I'm not sure though, that's not a confirmed fact, it's just my opinion. We all got free food and drinks at the hotel, so very few of us wante dto pay for drinks in the club. Nat didn't bring that much money either, so if she did drink in the club, he would have bought it for her, allowing him to be able to easily slip something in it.

After I said that her eyes looked heavy, but other than that she seemed ok, I was told that GHP made your eyes look heavy and impaired your judgement, but you could still function ok for a while and still be able to talk and interact with people.

She seemed ok... I don't really know very much about the effects of GHP, as I (luckily) haven't ever been given it. All I know is that it can turn your drink kinda bluish if you let it sit for a while. That is in no way relevent to the situation, but that's about all I know.... sorry!

No, she never said she was leaving with him. When I talked to her when we were all leaving she acted as if she was going to meet up with some other MB ppl in front of us walking and go with them back to the hotel. I gues she got in the car inbetween talking to us and going to the other group of people.

heavyheart... some people have been e-mailing me their sentiments for me to write on the wall for them... If you want to, I would definitely do that for you. Other than that all we can really do is pray. If you want, you can also make a prayer bracelet. It doesn't really do anything, but we all wear them to remind us of Nat, and when people ask about them, we tell them about her and about praying for her safe return.

To make a prayer bracelet all you do is get three different color peices of yarn (it can be any color, I have a few of them and they all are different) and braid them together and then just tie them on your wrist. It's really simple, but it's not so much what it looks like as what it represents. I know People magazine has a picture of some of us wearing them... don't read the article though, they totally misquoted us and slanted the whole thing to make it more dramatic... They are idiots. That's been obvious to me all day.
Not even Nancy Grace's Headline News has mentioned this or the Idaho update and there is one....I heard a brief blurb between programs. It was something like the sheriff thinks he knows why the family was murdered.
Also, the 5 yr. old girl's body being found last night in Iowa.
Not even a blub on NH today. Everything's put on the back burner due to the London bombings for God knows how long.

this thing is so creepy that I seriously wonder if Pvds was in on it before that. Natalee could very easily have been taken to the VDS residence shortly after departing the club! This is just as plausible as any of the other versions presented by these liars. The old man is a cold fish, and I don't imagine that his ugly wife who was away at the time is much of a turn-on for him.....plus, like father-like son applies.

He decided that the suspicions and the judicial principles for his detention were no longer there. Under the Aruban legislation, same as in all other civilized countries, a person is innocent until proven guilty in court.” He emphasized that Satish has always insisted that he is innocent and he has fully cooperation with the investigation. The lawyers of the two brother indicated that the Family Kalpoe had cancelled a planned vacation to Surinam, just to avoid that people would say that they are fleeing Aruba.
