It's interesting to debate the different theories. At least for me, it is...:)
sw
Me too.
I'm sad that I see people jumping to "troll" so quickly when all you do is disagree.
I have some strong feelings about this - but they're just that FEELINGS - I don't know the "facts" anymore than ANYONE else on this board. And all anyone is going with is their feelings and opinions.
I think everyone should have learned by now when you get emotionally invested in something that is not directly related to you - you can be hurt.. Jennifer Wilbanks is a good example. So many people were totally outraged at her when she showed up... it was surreal to me.
You know what I think?
I think they are very frightened people who need to comfort themselves by saying "this could never happen to me" "my judgement is good" "I am responsible".
The truth , that horrible things happen to decent people of good character, people who don't deserve it,,,that truth is hard to accept. We all feel so vulnerable. There but for the grace of God go any of us.
But these insufferable frightened people don't want to join humanity in that vulnerability. They prefer to think they are above our common vulnerability before evil. They are exempt and anyone who gets what Nat probably got is not of their kind.
Have mercy on them when they finally know it isn't like that.
That is just my opinion. I still wanta slap them silly.
Latest developments in The Netherlands (Thursday)The Dutch media is reporting that the Aruba prosecutors have appealed a judge's decision to release two brothers jailed on Wednesday and as consequence there will be a court hearing next week Tuesday to see if the Kalpoe brothers will stay free or get detained again. Hasibokos.com also learned that the Aruba prime minister Nelson Oduber wrote a letter to senator Richard Shelby requesting American marines to come to Aruba and search beneath the sea around the island.
Well, can't we send some of those submarine jobbies to patrol around.
Mighty good of him to invite the marines after the sharks have had six weeks, or is it five, to do their thing.
Nice post. Thanks.
Anything new over at SM?
bttt
Thx TexKat...such a damn shame...when I see her face, I see the gloating expression of Jurine.
Every time I lookk at that pic, I feel so sad. Such a lovely lovely girl. And what a daughter to have had as you grow old.
To think that someone has interrrupted her life. It is sad beyond all telling.
But to Jurine...just another piece of meat.
John Merryweather a former Aruba diplomat was one of the participants in last nights demonstration against Beth Holloway Twitty and the American Press. Apparently people are upset that Natalees mom is upset. Whats the definition of irony again?
with the events in Britain now running dominant interference of everyones attention, I think that the upcoming defense appeal to get JVDS released might be opportunistically successful. :(

Aruban Leader Asks Navy to Help Find Girl - Washington Post
By JEFFREY McMURRAY The Associated Press
Thursday, July 7, 2005; 4:05 PM
WASHINGTON -- A Navy dive team that checked the waters off Iraq for explosives before the American invasion could be used in the search for a missing Alabama girl in Aruba, the country's prime minister says.
Prime Minister Nelson Oduber made the request in a letter to Sen. Richard Shelby in response to the Alabama Republican's suggestion that Aruba give the FBI more authority in the search for Natalee Holloway.
In his letter, Oduber says he was made aware of the unit _ known as Naval Special Clearing Team One _ by a Texas dive team that has been helping to look for Holloway.
"I would like to request you to use your influence to gain this authorization for the deployment of this unit free of charge to Aruba as soon as possible," Oduber wrote in the letter, dated July 1.
Shelby forwarded the request to the Pentagon and State departments, but a Navy spokesman, Lt. Herb Josey, said Thursday there had been no formal diplomatic request for use of the team. He also questioned how useful the unit could be, since it specializes in covert exercises such as detecting and de-mining underwater explosives.
"I don't know why this team would be better than any other team, but they obviously have experience working underwater," said Lt. Herb Josey.
In an interview from London, Shelby said he hoped Oduber's request was a genuine bid to help the investigation and not retaliation for his complaints that Aruba's search was insufficient.
"We're not going to stop," Shelby said. "We want a professional investigation of what's going on down there. We're not going to look around and ignore what looks to be not a thorough, perhaps even a shoddy investigation."
Holloway disappeared May 30 in Aruba while celebrating her graduation from high school in Mountain Brook, Ala. Although three young men have been connected with her disappearance, none has been charged.
In Shelby's original letter last week asking for more FBI involvement, he called the Aruban investigation a "dead end."

Sounds to me like your blaming the victim here!! That's low!! According to ALL those who really do KNOW Natalee, she was a very cautious girl. I have no doubt that Natalee was drugged and then "quickly" led into a "taxi"!! I hardly think Natalee was looking for a lit light on the top of the car.
You go girl.

thanks for his address.....I think I'll write and stroke him for his tough and frank words re the terrorism, and also implore him to keep the pressure on Aruba in an equally public fashion and degree, because the media now seems to be dropping the ball wrt Americas Daughter.
Thank You.
If the world can't have Nat, at least we can put her to rest (for her family's sake). But as regards the scum on that dirty little island...the truth is out and it ain't good. The sad thing is that the little people, the workers like the security guards, will be the ones to suffer. The money laundering and drug transport from S.A. to the U.S. and Europe will line the pockets of the establishment.
Must wait until the next life to find justice. I hope we see Nat there.
Good to hear from you.
