This will probably get shunted off to general chat, but what the hell? I'm bored. So, let's list some irrelevant things and have a conversation about them.
1. All Time Favorite Movie
2. All Time Favorite War Movie
3. All Time Favorite TV show
4. All Time Favorite James Bond
5. All Time Favorite Author
6. All Time Favorite Detective(TV, Movie, or Book)
7. All Time Favorite Book
That should be enough to get us started.
You could be correct, But I think MTM did that.
Abner Kravitz was a pretty good man. He just had an unbearable wife. I think all in all, I would vote for Sam's powers, if only because she wasn't a slave. Dr. Bellows was a little smarter than Tate, it is true, but he was always foiled in the end. I even thought his wife was pretty hot for an older woman -- a hint of daring in her eyes. But I guess we don't need to go there. Bottom line, I'll take Sam.
I like Sam, but she was too domestic and house-wifey. I liked more exotic women like Jeannie, Emma Peel, and MaryAnn on Gilligan's Island (Ha!).
Re: #4. I was thinking of my favorite Bond MOVIE. Favorite BOND was George Lazenby.
"Wally and the Beav I can understand sharing a room. "
Even when Wally was in high school ???
Indy, I think they both did a hat toss in the intro. I know for sure that MTM did, but I think Marlo might have too. These are the difficult questions that we address in the middle of three-day weekends. Nice break from eminent domain, I must admit.
"I think "That Girl" (Ann Marie) also used to do the hat toss -- I think she was wearing white gloves, too. Donald used to yell at her a lot, but she could always butter him up."
I couldn't remember, but I seem to recall her spinning around on a dock with white gloves holding onto her hat as the camera pulled back. Actually I kinda liked that show, but only because I thought she was pretty.
I agree, if we're talking one night, I would go with Jeannie or certainly Mrs. Peel. I was thinking Sam for the long haul. Mary Ann -- yes, that's always a favorite topic. No powers, but awfully cute.
OH DONALD!!!
It figures that she married Phil Donahue.
Normally I would be asleep now, but instead I'm wasting vacation time on tv trivia. oh well...
! with Larry Tate "
I always dug Larry's wife more than Sam ( played by Kasey Rogers ). Va va voom !
You know, Kirkwood, that sounds exactly right. She held, MTM tossed. I admit I thought she was pretty too, and even her annoying voice was endearing on a half-hour a week basis. One voice I used to love -- and she was very average looking -- was Lani O'Grady from "Eight Is Enough." I would watch just to hear her talk.
1. The little mermaid as far as animated indiana jones and the last crusade for live action
2. are you kidding? I'd never watch a war movie
3. Blackadder
4. connery
5. c.s. lewis
6. holmes
7. TOO MANY FAVORITES *brain explodes*
Kasey was very under-rated. I was ashamed to bring it up, sushiman, but now that it's out there..... Gladys Kravitz, on the other hand.
All Time Favorite Movie - Star Wars
All Time Favorite War Movie - Gee, Star WARS should count, but otherwise, I don't really like war movies
All Time Favorite TV Show - Judge Judy
Favorite Bond - Sean Connery
Favorite Author - Agatha Christie
Favorite Detective - Absolutely Hercule Poirot
Favorite Book - The Bible, specifically, Ecclesiastes, although Romans is really right up there
I think Gladys was the best character on that show. I'll take Jeannie. Belly Button exposure censure and all, but both her and Sam have qualities today's women just don't understand.
I always used to get "Eight is Enough" and "Family" confused. That mother on "Family" used to give me the creeps (reminded me of a nun I knew), but I thought Bunny (Kristi McNichol) was hot. Too bad she turned out to be a Dyke. :-(
Dr. Bellows also had a pretty hot wife, even though she was (gasp) over 30. I think Larry Tate had a wife, but I can't recall what she looked like. She was probably a shrew and a nag.
