Well, somewhat disappointing turnout today in that we only had (actual count) 37 patriots turnout. We usually have 150-250 people. Whats even more disappointing was only one other Freepeer (Seenenuf from San Juan Capistrano) turned out. If there were any other I apologize for missing you.
Of course we were well represented by the vets, especially VN vets. I dont know why you feel guys need to volunteer for another tour of duty, but thanks from the bottom of my heart.
Also, thanks to a couple of CCRs , sorry didnt get names or collages. Didnt see any YRs , however could have missed them.
As usual we occupied all four corners albeit two of them was lightly occupied. Most people who drove by honked in support. Since this is the main route taken by a grocery chains warehouse and other 18-wheelers, of course we got loud air horns in support. A fire truck also gave us their approval. One Brea police car also gave us their short but unmistakable approval.
Highlight of my day was meeting a soldier that just returned from Iraq. I thanked her and got the usual response, just doing my job . (contrast this with kerry) All I can say is that the men and of the Armed Forces are the cream of the crop.
The opposition consisted of one person desperately calling for help with one person arriving to his call. LOL
Reflection,
Seems to me that support is still strong, however, compared to two years ago it has dropped about 15%. On the positive side the support is more enthusiastic. (Judging from the response of the drivers)
On the very positive side the negative response has diminished about 80%, we got on my corner 3 negative reactions and even those were half-hearted attempts.
All in all our side has solidified with passion and the other side has not only lost numbers but has lost passion.
I will advise on the next rally we have.
Thanks for going out and making your voice heard.

Thanks for posting this event - I noticed it at the last minute and just motored up the road to lend a little support. It was my honor to met the Army Reserve gal - she spent 14 months in Iraq. I wanted to hug her and tell her much, but was choked up with admiration. Just watching her demeanor, and her family, was a reward for my trip. Nice job, nice people.
I heard a caller announce this on one of the talk radio shows, can't remember which one. Was it you? Sorry about the turn out, but thanks so much for what you who did go did!
Good job! Keep up the heat! 'Pod.
God bless you.
That's a lot of people!
You did good!!!!!

I love to see the pharse, "After Action Report".
It was a pleasure meeting and talking to you. When I have a little more time I will Freepmail you to go over some of the things we talked about.
Unless I had a sex change I dont think it was me. LOL
The person you heard was Louise, a mother of an Marine back from Iraq. She is the organizer of this and past rallies at this location.
Yes, it is a lot of people relative to some other events. However, in the past we have consistently drawn 150-250 people. A rally just over the hill in Diamond Bar had people numbering 750-1500 organized by members of the Calvary church in the past..
I have higher expectations, especially since this was in Orange Co.
The Freepeer turnout was especially disappointing. Ironic, since several Freeppers directed me to FR from this event in the past.
You did good!!!!!
Give credit where credit is due. A mother of a Marine (Louise) is and has been the organizer. (sounds curt, not meant to be, no time sorry)
Anything is better than nothing. The biggest difference in politics is the difference between 0 and 1. And 37 is fine.
Think how many motorists were thrilled to see you.
These things always, always matter.

Hold on just a minute.
I/we are not implying that this really was a failure. And we are not dejected. I agree that 37 is fine, in fact it is better than most. Just making a statement that the numbers were disappointing relative to those we had in the past.
I know we made a difference. In fact some in the immediate area are call Brea and Imperial Freedom Corner as told to me by a resident.
We will hold another rally in the future with no reduction of energy.
