It must take a national treasury to feed a village.

What is the value of keeping the world safe and free? It's worth more than giving money to corrupt dictators so that they can skim it off and build new palaces. Will he never shut up? He had his time, and he squandered it.

Slick forgot to factor in the huge amount of aid we give to Mexico, in various forms.

When is that idiot going to shut up?

Clinton and Carter, two of the biggest failures ever as presidents don't have any choice but to put down their successors... Both were unable to move the country forward and can only snipe at those who get the job done...

White trash is as white trash does...

He is completely nuts. We are literally propping the Republic of Georgia up and keeping it going.

Canada spends almost nothing on defense, this is because they are secure in the knowledge that no matter what happens the United States will defend them. This is a de facto form of foreign aid.

Foreign aid is subject to the law of diminishing returns. It just does not work. What India and China have done is to reject foreign aid and hunt for investment , trade and jobs. Thats the way to go about it. Africa must learn to do the same if it has to have any chance at all.

Look at all the cash out of the treasury Bush has given away. Unconstitutional.

Has anyone ever added it up? Here is just some of the money going out-- this doesn't include United Nations budgets or charities.

Remittances $ 93 billion
USAID; $2 billion
Department of Labor $424 million
Department of State; $128 million
OPIC $69 million
USTDA; $64 million
Department of Energy; $37 million
Export-Import Bank; $31 million
Department of the Treasury; $29 million

I'm sure there are more ways that the US taxpayer has his hard earned wages dispursed throughout the world, feel free to add to this list.

Correct. Why should Canada waste their money on defense when they know we'll bail them out. It's too bad that they have opened up an immigration can of worms. One day they're going to wake up and find out that we can't save them from the terrorists in their own backyards.

The Clintons will say anything anywhere to advance themselves, they are both pathologic and have no real feelings for the U.S. or any other country.

Aid? We are stingy? Take for instance comparatives for the Tsunami aid, not only in money donated, but this chart doesn't even count for the humanitarian relief performed by our people.

Isn't this the guy who claimed a donation of his used underwear as a tax deduction?

That fellow is nutz! He's also unAmerican. Everytime he leaves our shores, he bad mouths us. I wish they'd keep him over there and we should stop his presidency pension.

Forget foreign aid. Clinton exchanged OUR nuclear secrets to our strategic COMPETITOR for HIS campaign cash. That's tantamount to overt treason.

OK... give the Presidency to Hillary and she will give away the farm. Anything to placate those Euro-weenies.

We have poured untold billions to rebuild and protect them, and the thanks we get for it? You know the rest of the story.

More foreign aid for the Saudis, Jordanians, et al?

Americans are a generous people, but there is a limit.

How about more accountability in the foreign aid we already give. Should the US really be funding "family planning"?
