Any recommendations for a good Internet filter? It should:
- Stop my kids from seeing the bad web pages
- Cause little or no problems with Windows XP
- Cause little or no hassle with respect to the Windows XP multi-user, fast-switching feature
I've tried NetNanny, CyberSitter, and McAffee software offerings, and have not been satisfied because of the problems they cause. Any recommendations?
Thanks!

If you can't find what you want here..do a search.. or her shareware or sign up for her tips of the week..Kim is excellent and you can catch her on the weekends on the talk radio channels..email her and she should reply if a problem.
Top Internet site~
Let me know if you find out! I tried B-safe's free trial, but it clashed with my Norton, and their customer service was horrible.
We use Christian Net (http://www.cnonline.net/) as our ISP which works well for us (I run XP). They also have a filter-only service. The price is good too.
Mac OS X is free from viruses, worms and spyware, and it does a better job of avoiding the pornography, spam and piracy problems associated with Windows XP.
You may want to check out Safebrowse.com as an ISP and they also have some broadband filtering now I think.
I used them with dial up inthe past and like them a lot.
I aint scared of no viruses, worms and spyware. Heck, if I catch one, it automatically gets put into a little holding cell where I can laugh at it and poke it with a stick before I delete it. I think the poster was asking for a piece of software, not a whole new rig.
LOL!!
Yes. http://www.bsafehome.com/. My Dad installed it on my computer, and I have no way of getting around it.
Note: If you erase the hard drive, the program will get deleted, so you have to watch out for that. kidding. Works quite well, though it blocks some good pages that you'll have to allow
BSafe is free, btw.
OK, I was going to get on your case about letting your dad install filtering software on your computer.
Then I looked at your homepage and noticed your were only 14.
While I was there I perused your "40 Reasons not post your picture on the internet."
...and I still have tears of laughter rolling down my face!
I don't know, but the information may be useful to someone. Apple's built-in system puts the parents in control of the computer. That's the best arrangement, in my opinion.
Glad I meet with your approval. Those pictures are about the funniest things I've seen in months. FOund them on the internet. Here's the thread where I posted them: http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-chat/1431968/posts
Try: www.truevine.net
They filter the trash out at their server.
Okay, maybe you are right, guess it never hurts to pass along information.
Thanks for suggestions! Safe Eyes is probably my next try.
BTW.... it's not as easy to find this software as you'd like to think. Apparently most parents don't think Internet filters are necessary, haven't got around to it (like me), or just don't care.
