Time magazine said today that it would provide documents concerning the confidential sources of one of its reporters to a grand jury investigating the disclosure of the identity of a covert C.I.A. agent, Valerie Plame.

The United States Supreme Court turned down appeals in the case on Monday, concluding the gravest legal confrontation between the press and the government in a generation. Two reporters, Judith Miller of The New York Times and Matthew Cooper of Time magazine, face jail for refusing to testify before the grand jury.

I wonder how many of you Freepers think that this could mean that the notes in question, which they are disclosing, reveal a Republican or a member of the Bush Adminitration?

Mandy Grunwald's husband.

Anyone think they'll be the real notes?

Of course the notes reflect poorly (imply deceit) for the Bush admin.

Else the Times would be refusing.

(When the Clinton admin was lying about Lee involvement with their DOE, the reporters are still withholding evidence.)

Same question I'm asking...Are the notes real? or do they fit an agenda.

I remember a friend of Wilson saying he happen to run into Novak and said something about Valerie. The friend said he scooted to Wilson's house and said "Hey, Novak knows about Valerie".

Which of course means this friend knew about Valerie.

Matthew Cooper of TIME is Mandy Grunwald's husband? The former Clinton administration hack?

Sheesh--this is like watching "Parade of the Incest Democrat-Media Inbreds."

Quite ironic, isn't it?

This cover is from October, 2003.

Read Ed Klein's book. It's quite the eye opener.

Very interesting and really a must read!

He connects all the dots.

OK folks, you heard it here first:

My prediction?

The notes that get turned over will be CBS-style "fake but accurate" fabrications that point the finger at noneother than Karl Rove.

The leftists in our media want to get that guy more than anybody else in the Bush Administration.

Thanks for the info. My big interest remains "her thesis" which is under lock and key and her part in the Nixon takedown. If I had to write a book about Hillary, I would call it: "Evil Intentions".

The notes can be "anything they want them to be". If there are no countering notes, it means nothing.

I keep remembering that Wilson blew "his cover" on his third date with Valerie.

The 'thesis' was then. This is now. Read this book and don't forget anything you read.

She's dangerous, she's a liar, she's a committed fascist.

Apparently one of dots included is the tainted blood scam in Arkansas. According to Klein, Vince Foster was the enforcer of silence on that scam and several others.*

I haven't read the book, but Klein was interviewed on KSFO this week and was astonished that host Lee Rodgers had READ the book instead of the press kit the publishers send out.

Apparently the book is quite different from the promos by the publisher--which is interesting in itself.

One of the differences is that Klein never says that Hillary is/was a lesbian as all the hype implies, such false hype giving sympathy to Hillary. He does say that she was exposed to gay/lesbian politics at Wellesley and saw a useful political lever. What Klein actually wrote is that Hillary is pretty much not interested in sex, more of an ice queen.

When Lee asked him about the well supported story of an affair between Foster and her, Klein said the only way he can believe it is if she was taking advantage of Foster's unhappiness in his marriage in order to keep him close and devoted and thus continue to be the trusted enforcer.

*Remember back very early on when Linda Tripp said that when she accessed Foster's computer a password requirement demand appeared on the screen along with a title about tainted blood. I can't remember exactly how all that occurred, but I bet T'wit can.

Read the book.

It's got a lot of inside information never seen before.

It also makes me all the more furious at Newt for giving her credibility on the health care issue.

She needs to be gone from our public lives. The sooner, the better. She's evil and does great harm to this country.

Mandy Grunwald was fired from Clinton Admin in WH. Mandy Grunwald then went to work on Hillary's Senatorial NY Run for office.

I just quoted from that book in another thread. :> I agree; it's a useful read. I do understand the "conservative warnings" against the book for its sordid nature re subject. However, does a good job of following a "thread" of "connectedness" within the Dem Party.

But then, I have this Ray Bradbury kind of perversity: Someone tells me not to read something; I just gotta! :>

Who "exposed" non-field operator Valerie Plame is much less important than who tipped off an Islamonazi fake charity to an impending raid.

I believe what the prosecutor is really looking for here is who leaked THAT information to journalists and that just maybe the Plame leaker is the same as the raid leaker.

At least when--or IF--the prosecutor gets that name or names, he can put pressure on the leaker regarding the important case of the blown raid.

I agree with expectations here that Grunewald's husband is very likely to give the prosecutor false name(s). My money is also on Grunewald's husband as the tipoff man. I doubt very much that Miller would do that.

My hope is that the prosecutor will now be able to get phone records so that he can track down the real source(s) even if Grunewald's husband lies to him and produces notes from the Rather Forgery Team so to speak.

The angst that this has caused the media is fun to watch.
