Brian Williams of NBC news just compared the new Iranian President to the Founding Fathers
NBC Nightly News ^ | 6/30/05 | Self

Anyone else just see the NBC report on the possibility that the new Iranian President may have been one of the kidnappers in the 1979 hostage crisis?

Brian Willaims and Andrea Mitchell bantering back and forth with Williams stating: "After all, some certianly regarded the founding fathers as terrorists, and the student uprising was well supported all across Iran." Or words extremely similar to that.

Maddest I've been yet on this issue, even if this isn't the guy, Williams and Mitchell's comments were way over the line, even by what we are used to out of the MSM

Brains not worried, during a recent interview they promised him that when they come they will only kill Jews. He must have turned his head when the scumbag continued by saying "before we kill you."

Please...... Our founding fathers were not cowards hiding behind the skirts of their women and cribs of their kids while attacking defensless civilians.

They drew up papers proper, declared their indepence, sent them over to the King and awaited the war that would ensue. When it came they made a valiant attempt at war, darn near loosing but prevailing in the end.

Shame on this vermin for suggesting any similarity. ( Isn't he a maple leaf fellow or am I confusin him with someone else ).

Join the club. I don't watch liberal news or buy it. I get what I need to know here or listen to excerpts from talk radio. My reward is when ratings and circulation numbers come out stating X,Y, and Z are in a downward spiral. They're hurting bad and they know it.

Anyone else who might have caught this, please chime in here. There was another comment or two that was being said while I stormed out of the room to post here.

That is the way it happened. The orginal post captures it pretty well.

Williams was explaining why we should not be concerned that the new president of Iran and another government higher up was one of the students that held our hostages.

Williams said, after all, our founding fouthers were consider by some during that time to be terrrorists. He linked the founding of this country to the students in Terran that took our people hostage.

Such a comparison is assinine. There is no comparison.

"The first U.S. presidents were certainly revolutionaries and might have been called 'terrorists' at the time by the British crown, after all."

Give us a bit more than that from you TIVO transcript. I don't remember the British Crown part. There may be more before that.

"Wright said that she thinks President Bush has every right and should check him out, because even if he had a modest role, he should NOT be leading that country, without answering for his past deeds..."

Good for Wright.

Next up: Joschka Fischer.

If he has something in common with the founding fathers I would suggest the fathers Che, Fidel, Vladamir and Adolph.
