Do you remember your first brainfreeze?
The drink that came to be known as the Slurpee was developed in Dallas and introduced to the masses by 7-Eleven Inc. 40 years ago.
7-Eleven registered the term "brainfreeze" in 1994.
More than 6 billion Slurpees have been sold, one for every man, woman and child on Earth.
More than 13 million Slurpees are consumed every month.

About 40 percent are sold in the summer months.

Favorite slurpee memory:

A B-52 bomber head for Vietnam and loaded with fuel had crashed at the Cape. Crew bailed, no one hurt, but it sure was a cool fireball.
