June 29, 2005--The latest edition of the Hillary Meter finds that the number of people expecting New York's Senator to win the Democratic Presidential nomination has jumped to 64%, the highest level yet recorded (review trends for all Hillary Meter questions)
At the same time, the number of Americans who say they will definitely vote against Senator Hillary Clinton has increased to 39%. Two weeks ago, 36% held that view.
The number who will definitely vote for the former First Lady remains unchanged at 30%.
With 30% definitely in her favor and 39% definitely opposed, Senator Clinton needs to win over 68% of remaining voters to earn a majority of the popular vote.
Ideologically, there is little change in perceptions of New York's junior Senator compared to recent surveys. Forty-five percent (45%) continue to believe that she is politically liberal. In January, before Clinton launched an effort to moderate perceptions of her political views, 51% believed that liberal was the right label for the Senator's political views.
Demographic details are available for Premium Members.
Thirty-three percent (33%) of Americans view the former First Lady as a moderate while 7% believe she is politically conservative.
Collectively, todays Hillary Meter places Senator Clinton a net 54 points to the left of the nation's political center
Nationally, 40% of Americans have a favorable opinion of Hillary while 40% hold an unfavorable view. Those numbers are a bit less favorable than the results from two weeks ago.

That's the key line, the GOP only needs to win 33-35% of the remaining voters who are on the fence to vote against Hillary and she is toast.
I don't understand why you Freepers are so afraid of her.
If 45% of the country thinks she is Liberal 2 1/2 years before a single shot has been fired, how is she going to fair once the Primary season heats up?
I'd be much more afraid of Evan Bayh or Russ Feingold than the Beast from the NorthEast.
I don't see why we're so afraid of Hillary.
I don't see any state Bush won in 2000 that Hillary can turn blue, and many blue states that could be turned.
Feingold and Bayh would be much stronger candidates.
You mean "Her Thighness?"
I agree. Hillary ain't ten-feet tall(figuratively, that is).
I like Sen. Allen of Virginia for the GOP nomination.
Not me. I want that B---- to run for a slap down.
If you are one of the 7% who think Hillary is a conservative please weigh in with your thoughts - if you have any.
She's morally corrupt and ethically challenged. In short, she's a true politician.
Hillary wouldn't win a single state Kerry didn't. Which means she LOSES...
THAT is tough. Sixty-Eight percent?? She's toast.
"If you are one of the 7% who think Hillary is a conservative"
Those 7% are the hardcore lib voters in San Francisco and Hollywood that don't like Hillary for pretending to move to the center on abortion and illegal immigration.
I would rather B---- Slap her down........

Have a nice day!.......
Hmmm... also by Rasmussen:
79% of Americans, and 84% of Republicans, believe immigrants should be required to speak English before they are allowed to become citizens. 14% disagree.
Attention, Mr. Bush: your amnesty proposals wouldn't have any such clause, would they? No, I thought not.
If Mrs. Clinton becomes the next president, it is 100% because conservatives and moderates couldn't get excited over a Republican party which supports illegal immigration and does nothing to protect our common language.
Ah, but if she promises to close the borders, many of the immigration hawks here will vote for her -- in fact, they say that position alone will make her president.

Beg to differ with this interpretation. In just half a year, a communist has managed to dupe 6% of potential voters in the nation into thinking she is to the right of "liberal". I think that's a pretty good PR achievement for her. I expected her to do well, and she is.
Iowa, and possibly Ohio, but who am I to say?
What about Ohio?
"I don't understand why you Freepers are so afraid of her."
Because when you take someone this powerful, give them alot of money, know that they will stop at nothing to get what they want and know they have the ability to manipulate the media any way they want, you have big problems.
She has Satan on her side.
"Ah, but if she promises to close the borders, many of the immigration hawks here will vote for her -- in fact, they say that position alone will make her president."
I believe you are wrong about the bulk of the immigration hawks ever supporting Hillary. If she does win, the few that did so will deserve everything they get.
"Hillary wouldn't win a single state Kerry didn't. Which means she LOSES..."
You are wrong. This woman is pure evil. I would bet that if she runs we will have court fights in at least 10 states. She will do everythng she can to win this office. Think Washington State. Then think of all the liberal activist judges on the lower courts.
