My green arrow to turn back to the list of news threads knows no retreat. It won't turn back. If you can figure out what I mean...please help.

See the words "News/Activisim" in both the upper right and lower right corner? Just click on those links and stop using your back arrow.

When I'm finished with a thread, I use the arrow button to get me back to where I was before reading the thread.

I put his text through the Babblefish translater, through a few languages in a row. Now it makes a lot more sense:

My green arrow aiming to turn to the list of wire of information does not know a return of retirement. It is not turned behind. If you can represent, which I ask... mean, you help.

Check your settings in 'My Preferences'...

Windows
Most browsers are capable of creating new browser windows. You may elect to allow the forum to create new browser windows when clicking marked links. Links which are programmed to open in another browser window will be marked with a ^.
Self Links will not be opened in new browser windows.
Blank Marked links will be opened in a new browser window.

Slave Marked links will be opened in a single "slave" browser window. This allows one to leave open a list of articles in the master window, while reading the articles in a slave window.

I like prizes.

I still have some Valentine candy left over if you consider that a prize.

My green arrow works just fine. Maybe you should use the green lantern instead.

I already tried that but, the Green Lantern is ignoring me for some reason. Maybe I've confused him.

Read post #93. To fix it, you need to select from the pulldown:

Tools -> Options
and select the advanced options.

Click the + on tabbed browsing, and uncheck "Select new tabs opened from links" then restart Firefox.

That should do it.

If you mean the back arrow on your browser isn't lit, did you select open page in new window option? If you have a lot of FR windows on your desktop that would indicate that.

On the bottom, I can have one FR window open. When I open an article, the FR window splits in two and there are now two windows open.

Before the gremlins infected my machine, Only one window would be open. Where the words'FreeRepublic' was...would turn into what ever story I accessed. It doesn't do that now, it splits off to another window.
