For it is God's will that by doing good you should silence the ignorant talk of foolish men.
You are the one and only God, Creator of Heaven and Earth and all that is in them, Almighty and Eternal. Though we are unworthy except through the blood of Jesus Christ, please accept our humble praise and use us to Your service that Your Name might be glorified.
Lord, we grieve once again for the loss of some of our finest when their helicopter crashed in Afghanistan. We praise You for men such as these, willing to lay down their lives for others. Bring the comfort that only You can bring to their families. Even as some in our nation, even in our government, are making statements that put our troops in yet graver danger, we ask You to lift the morale of those in our military. Encourage them and strengthen them as they fight against those who wish to destroy us.
We pray for their Commander-in-Chief, a man whose love, pride, and confidence in our military was so obvious as he addressed them and our nation last night. Father, place Your wisdom within him that his words and deeds may be from You. Let his goodness silence those whose mission seems to be his destruction at whatever cost to our nation. Let Your truth shed light on their lies and deceits that they may be revealed for what they are, men and women lusting for power rather than the betterment and the security of our nation. Protect our President, his family, and his administration from those who wish them harm.
Lord, at times we fight despair and discouragement as we see the outrages in our society today. We are appalled at those who champion the destruction of the unborn; we are confounded at the licentiousness and debauchery that runs rampant in our land as many put their own pleasure ahead of all else; we regret the loss of integrity and honesty that we see so often around us; we are shocked at those who seek to deny even the mention of Your Holy and Precious Name and who seek to hide Your Commandments from public view. Lord, we throw ourselves on Your mercy, pleading with You to forgive our nation and set us back on the path of righteousness. Watch over Your remnant, faithful to You and striving to do Your will. In the Name of our Savior, Jesus, the Christ. Amen.
Please join in prayer for our President, our troops, and our nation.
Hi Kay,
Almost ready to call it a night. Of course I will join you in prayer for our POTUS and our brave troops.
AMEN TO YOUR PRAYER!
GRACE TO ALL BRETHREN!
"And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them."
- John 17:22
Behold the superlative liberality of the Lord Jesus, for he hath given us
his all. Although a tithe of his possessions would have made a universe of
angels rich beyond all thought, yet was he not content until he had given
us all that he had. It would have been surprising grace if he had allowed
us to eat the crumbs of his bounty beneath the table of his mercy; but he
will do nothing by halves, he makes us sit with him and share the feast.
Had he given us some small pension from his royal coffers, we should have
had cause to love him eternally; but no, he will have his bride as rich as
himself, and he will not have a glory or a grace in which she shall not
share. He has not been content with less than making us joint-heirs with
himself, so that we might have equal possessions. He has emptied all his
estate into the coffers of the Church, and hath all things common with his
redeemed. There is not one room in his house the key of which he will
withhold from his people. He gives them full liberty to take all that he
hath to be their own; he loves them to make free with his treasure, and
appropriate as much as they can possibly carry.
The boundless fulness of his all-sufficiency is as free to the believer
as the air he breathes.
Christ hath put the flagon of his love and grace to the believer's lip,
and bidden him drink on for ever; for could he drain it, he is welcome to
do so, and as he cannot exhaust it, he is bidden to drink abundantly, for
it is all his own.
What truer proof of fellowship can heaven or earth afford?
"When I stand before the throne
Dressed in beauty not my own;
When I see thee as thou art,
Love thee with unsinning heart;
Then, Lord, shall I fully know-
Not till then-how much I owe."

GODBLESS OUR PRESIDENT,COUNTRY AND TROOPS!
(Romans 10:17)
Amen to your prayer, kayak. Thank you for leading us in this important ministry.
As we begin our celebration of the Fourth of July, let us be mindful and grateful for the men and women serving the armed forces of this nation in foreign lands. It is their faithfulness in the love of our country that puts them daily in harms way. Bless each and everyone of them, their spouses and families, for their sacrifices are great....We pray for their Commander-in-Chief, President Bush, for his burdens are tremendous. Those who have ears let them hear and eyes that see what God has in store for us as we travel the path to eternity. Forgive those who have transgressed against the Almighty, may You have mercy on us all........In Jesus name we pray
Amen.
