I have to post and hit the road. Maybe y'all can watch out for trolls.
Do enjoy yourselves! God bless you all.
I decided at some point that somebody has to be last in running races, and that God must have thought I was mentally strong enough to handle it and I was keeping other kids from having to be last. Sounds altruistic, but really it was just self-protection.
And yes, I love getting older for just that reason. Much more secure, much wiser, very happy. Just wish this silly old body would back up a few notches! Ha!
Go get 'em, Denny! And then, let's get TERM LIMITS on the agenda (whattajoke, huh?)... but I'm convinced that's the only solution to the DC Debacles. These critters just acquire too much power, and then they muckrake and become traitors to their own country.
LOL. You do your namesake proud.
Toaster winner - what do you want?
Nice picture. Thanks!
MJY1288 said a few days ago that President Bush needed to get his butt out there and rally support for Iraq.
When I told him a speech had been scheduled for Tuesday, I added that while I was always happy to see the President's butt, it was sad that MSM blocks the American people from hearing his exhortations and remarks on a regular basis in their news shows so they don't know or remember all the things he covered again in his speech.
It was a very good speech, and it did help the polls. And the MSM is back at carping and carping...
I need some creative ideas about how to bring down the MSM.
I am prohibited from violence by my faith, but man, that is how I feel toward them. Have to confess that almost every few days....and ask for God's help in overcoming it.
On troll patrol Gretchen
That is a lovely photo
Hi, snugs!
How does your garden grow?
I think the ultimate answer IS term limits .. it's the power of the critters who build empires and possess great influence that are the heart of the problem, IMHO. Without the hubris and web of connections of these jerks, the MSM wouldn't have the well-known, polished, predictable suspects to target for their headlines and buzz and give them their playbook.
It is .. makes me teary, too. You could see it at the last words of his speech, couldn't ya, snugs?
In any case, I'm feeling pretty proud of the President today. The whole Gitmo hysteria was quelled this week, and last night the President once again showed that clarity and persistence are the hallmarks of his administration.
Good on him!
I heard him on the radio on the way home. He sounded great. What a rock! This man does not waver, doesn't test which way the wind is blowing, and doesn't screw our military for the sake of some points in a poll.
Thank God for his parents. I think parental love and guidance have made him the man he is today. He knows who he is and what he wants to do and has no need to try and please everyone (while pleasing no one and losing his soul in the process) like a former president who shall remain nameless.
Term Limits has its downside. If the Congressmen become less powerful and well known, the special interests, the congressional staffs and the media become a more powerful influence on freshmen, wet behind the ears Congressmen.
Almost half the Congress men and women now are on our side now. Not sure we should limit the terms just as we are getting a fair share finally.
Indeed you could. He cares deeply and like others it upsets and angers me when I see the media attacking him daily.
Good evening, friends!
Just checking in for now...will return after the storm.
Hi GEM, thanks for posting. I liked the speech last night. Told it straight.
