rabbits like humans need food, if the humans in north korea can't find it where will the rabbits?
this sounds like another scheme from the ted kennedy school of business

I read that if a person were to only eat rabbit they would starve. Somehow it takes (human) body fat to digest the rabbit meat because it is so lean.

Cho said he thought about how he could help alleviate food shortages in the North...Food shortages are caused by a lack of freedom and a lack of rule of law. With freedom and rule of law, people grow plenty of food for themselves.

Kim Jong il may disallow it in the end. He may figure too many people eating too many rabbits near the Chinese border, might cause a spring in their steps, and they may just be able to hop hop hop right over the barbed wire and out of the People's Heaven on Earth (sic).

Some on the millons of Nutria from Louisiana wouldn't be missed either.

Well intentioned but ultimately hare brained.

The North Korean response:

They should send this kind of rabbit:

During the last famine in N. Korea a few year ago, the peasants were reduced to eating grass and the government was publishing cookbooks with grass recipes.
How are they going to feed 1.2 million rabbits? Are we about to see pictures of millions of starving little bunnies?

It would be better to just let them loose across the border. In addition to migrating north to be eaten, they could clear some of those landmines.
