I've heard rumors that somewhere in the rest of Cuba, there are prisons where Castro is holding and torturing political prisoners, homosexuals, librarians, and other innocent people. I guess that's not sufficiently serious to merit an official inquiry by the UN, though.

The US is correct in it's interpretation of the Geneva Conventions. As a matter of fact theses folks could have been executed base on the conventions.
