Thanks for posting. I've been studying some of these movements on and off for over a year now. This particular article was from 2000, but it was a good one because of the amount of info given. What I'd like to see now is some FReepers who are willing to do some research on the current affairs of these "One World" groups. They are having a major impact. Oprah promotes them, as does Chopra. These New Agers have borrowed bits and pieces from the theosophy movement of Blavatsky to create a "feel good" spirituality which is intentionally anti-Christian.

Perhaps after the ruling by SCOTUS in regard to Eminent Domain, those who ridiculed hedgetrimmer in that thread might start paying attention.

"Know thy enemy." And religious environmentalism is definately the enemy of every thinking person on Earth, not to mention an insult to our creator.

"How does one recover after finding a oneness with the wolf?" Sometime thereafter, the wolf will deposit the solid evidence of your oneness in the grass. Next year there will be a monument to said oneness in the form of well fertilized grass.

The long and the short of it is that "environmentalism" is a form of latter-day idolatry which no Christian will endorse. Stewardship is one thing--worship of dirt and plants and wild animals is quite another.
.I don't know what else there really is to know about this garbage.

Thanks for the ping.
Green Theology == worship of the creation
Biblical view == stewardship of the creation
Worship v. Stewardship
That should be straighforward enough to debunk these Theogreenies in the minds of most Christians.

"I implied that it required membership and that this one document alone is worth it." There isn't much on the site that isn't worth the paltry cost of membership. This is one org that more than justifies it's support.

You're right, you did. I just didn't expect to find nothing at the link. I enjoyed Lamb's article posted on FR last year:
