Princess Diana had a passionate affair with John F Kennedy Jr, according to a new book on the late former wife of Prince Charles.
Diana and Kennedy, who both died in tragic accidents in the 1990s, met in New York in 1995 when the son of the assassinated US president sought an interview with her for his magazine George , the Sun newspaper reported today.
She refused but agreed to meet him in his luxury suite in the Manhattan hotel overlooking Central Park, according to Simmons, described by the paper as a "friend and confidante" of the late Princess of Wales.
Diana was "bowled over" by Kennedy's charm. "We started talking, one thing led to another and we ended up in bed together. It was pure chemistry," she is quoted as saying in Simmons book 'Diana: the last word'.
Also, according to the new biography, Diana thought the pair would make a great team and even entertained the idea of becoming the United States' first lady if he went into politics.
Upon her return to London, Diana had an astrological chart drawn up on Kennedy and concluded that they were not compatible enough to pursue a relationship, according to Simmons.
They remained in contact for some time before Kennedy married Carolyn Bessette the following year.
Diana was killed in 1997 in a car accident in Paris.
Kennedy, his wife and her sister Lauren Bessette were all killed when the plane he was piloting crashed near Martha's Vineyard in July 1999.
Right?
I'm finding it curious that Dianna made these assumptions: sleeping with a guy she'd just met would lead to her becoming First Lady (of the U.S.).
I don't get the logic there.
Seriously, this part of this story seems far more strange than her use of astrology. Which appears to have either helped her encounter doom or failed to enlighten her as to how to live otherwise.
A tragic story of a tragic life...although I agree that it's doing no good to discuss the deceased. In the case of Dianna and John Kennedy, Jr., etc., however, their place in history makes them of ongoing interest to discuss. But, if it'd been up to me, I'd have foregone the sexual gossip.
How can you make money off of your "friends" that way? /sarcasm
It always surprises me how many "friends" and "close confidantes" dead people have. And they ALWAYS speak the truth. *rolling eyes*
I have to agree that she wasn't too bright. She married Charles knowing how he felt about Camilla. She just wanted to be a little princess! Doh! To this day, I can't understand her popularity.
As for her having chemistry with JFK Jr......double doh! Sorry, I just can't imagine it without lmao! Puleeeeeze!
Ping
And there's the rub. I was a pen pal of a Canadian woman when Diana was being chased by Charles, and I told my friend that Diana was an idiot to go after Charles.
Her response was, SHE IS GOING TO BE QUEEN!
She may not have defended Diana, but she sure knew why she was doing it!
This sounds like something out of the National Enquirer.
It's long overdue that Princess Diana be allowed to Rest in Peace.
CHAPTER FOUR
John F Kennedy Jr was wildly humping away when he noticed a change in Diana's expression.
"Am I hurting you, Di?"
"Why, no. Why do you ask, John John?"
"YOU MOVED!"
True story......
Di is in New York, killing time before her meeting with JFK, Jr, in a neighborhood bar. She's sitting down at one end, nursing a house chardonnay, when a horse comes in and orders "the usual". The bartender puts one of those giant frosty steins of draft in front of the horse, and goes back to polishing glasses.
A few minutes later, this skeleton walks in, strides up to the bar and says, "Hey, bartender, gimme a beer and a mop!"
Then he turns to the horse and says, "Hey, Buddy, why the long face?"
True...it's in Simmons' book.
Isn't there something in the Constitution that prohibits a foreigner from being First Lady? :^)
Don't believe it just because it's in print. This may not have happened at all.
I'm not saying it didn't; I'm just saying I'm very skeptical about anything I read or hear in any news medium.
Oh yeah. Like I'm gonna believe someone who writes a story about a famous person who is no longer here to answer to the allegations put forth by someone who is trying to get his book on the best seller list! Where's the proof?
Bingo. Arrogance has a lot to do with most mishaps we experience.
The cool thing about famous dead people is that their 'friends' get to make up stuff and sell books.
Is it appropriate to have a thread on the subject? I did not mean to imply that it wasn't. I am not the authority on what may be discussed here.
But the people who start these stories and the "journalists" who "report" them, they're tomb-robbing ghouls.
Assume the position Graymatter, old Darling.
You know the drill.
You're under arrest again for being "criminally demure in public".
While I read your rights, be reminded that cynical old power freaks like you will not get away with questioning what subjects are to be discussed in these chat rooms.
Turn off the computer and go outside and play.
