The correct answer is President George Washington. Without question. Washington towers above all.
It's also hard to believe none of the other Founder Fathers made the top 5. Modern education: pure rubbish.

I will never ever forget the outpouring of pride and respect as hundreds of thousands of Californians stopped on freeways, exited their cars, crowded freeway over passes for many miles paying their respects and saluting as President Reagan made his final trip.Watching the expressions of pain and disgust on the faces of the MSM chowderheads as they watched our outpouring of respect was gratifying as well.

I voted for Franklin because I thought he was honestly the most deserving. Perhaps Lincoln and Washington were also more deserving thean Reagan, but if it couldn't be Franklin, I am glad it was Reagan, who was my personal favorite, whether or not he was the most deserving.

MLK beats the Father of our Country? Outrageous.
Some people just don't understand the idea behind the word 'greatness'; they seem to confuse it with 'well-known in the history that is being taught today'.
I am pleased that at least President Reagan received the honor he deserved.

People tend to forget that at this point in Reagan's second term the liberal elites and Eurocrats were attacking him with as much anger and disdain as they are presently dumping on President George W. Bush. Reagan stayed the course without flinching and ended up profoundly shaming his critics.
I expect President Bush to follow suit.

If Reagan is the greastest America, then when do we get a national holiday celebrating his life?
To: Keith in Iowa
Probably wants to call it off.

Unbelievable!
What's happening to our country?

I agree, Washington easily.
Nothing against our beloved Ronaldus Magnus, but GW was without a doubt "First in war, first in peace and first in the heart's of his countrymen".

Agreed on both points. It's cool Reagan won but Washington - IMO- is the clear #1. Any one of the three great accomplishments of Washington affords him that honor.

Yeah, MLK probably gets more ink than Washington in the school textbooks these days.
To: EUPHORIC
Rush Limbaugh should have been in the top 5.
To: gorush
The libs can find solace in the fact that they won #2 and #3.Don't be so sure, you would be amazed at how many liberals don't really like Lincoln.
I get some of the reasons why (not the same reasons as the paleocons), but to me the libs make no sense in them all not liking him.

"The correct answer is President George Washington."
You are right, of course, but I picked the Gipper to piss off the "traitors."
