Guests to be interviewed today on major television talk shows:
FOX NEWS SUNDAY (Fox Network): Defense Secretary Donald H. Rumsfeld.
MEET THE PRESS (NBC): Defense Secretary Donald H. Rumsfeld; singer and activist Bono.
FACE THE NATION (CBS): Gen. John Abizaid, commander of U.S. Central Command.
THIS WEEK (ABC): Defense Secretary Donald H. Rumsfeld, former FBI Director L. Patrick Gray.
LATE EDITION (CNN) : Gen. John Abizaid, commander of U.S. Central Command, Sen. Carl Levin, D-Mich., Iraqi Prime Minister Ibrahim al-Jaafari, President Emile Lahoud of Lebanon.
Woohoo Rummy - SMACK! "You know it would have been nice if you would have played clips of the Gen.'s that HAVE BEEN THERE or live there." The swimmer has NEVER been to Iraq but says it is a quagmire. Hahahaha
I could just slap Russert. He is rude, he constantly interrupts, he is trying so hard to get his lib credentials out there.
Sorry about that. All my comments so far have been about Fox News Sunday.
What a joke.
TCM is about my favorite channel. The kids always want to know why I am watching old black-and-white movies!
That settles it, FNS will win the Morgan in Denver viewing decision this morning. Thanks, again. Now, on to the Juan smack down segment.
Good mornig kristinn. Missed you Friday night - did YOU have fun. ;*)
I'll take Chris over his old man any day of the week!
If you ever want to hear Chris come out-of-his-shell, listen to Howie Carr's weekly segment with him!
Howie has a way of drawing it ALL out of Wallace, -even if the only confirmation is Wallace's decision to respond with a chortle and a snicker. (never speak when you can whisper, never whisper when you can nod, never nod when you can wink)
The Wallace interview was FAR better than Russet's tired old cat & mouse game. IMHO
FNS Panel time. Topic is political ramifications of the Iraqi war. Round robin, Brit, Mara, now Bill Kristol. Little Juan last, waiting for his DNC talking points.
Russert couldn't get through his program w/out quoting from the NYT and WP. They're his bibles.
I joing you in that assessment. Russert was just awful, merely repeating dem talking points, hauling out the few pubbies who have stabbed us in the back for their own purposes, and eliciting nothing of any use.
Juan as usual steps in it right off the bat. News about Defense department initiating talks with some of the insurgents. Juan: "We're now negotiating with terrorists!"
That one was so out of bounds, even Chris Wallace slapped him down almost immediately.
Bono says that Bush has done great things with AIDs in Africa, but that it will all be forgotten by history if he doesn't start writing even bigger checks. Interesting way of thinking.
The correct measure of our committment to Africa is the percentage of our GDP that we spend there, says Bono.
Next up on FNS Panel Discussion: Karl Rove's comment. Can't wait to hear what Little Juan has to say about this one.
