I no sooner got done reading your post , and a commercial came on TV telling everyone to exercise for at least 30 minutes a day. I just caught the tail end when I went into the living room, but the logo at the end said "Healthy Ohioans". Don't know if they have a website or not. Yep-fat people are the next incremental step. Your body & mind belong to der state. Heil Hitler!

Ahh San Fran. The home of gay men, lesbian women and transvestites! All is well in San Fran land as long as no one is seen smoking.
~gag!
Was there an intended pun in there? :D

One of the best things I've ever read here. My sister lives in SF, and she has told me virtually everything you said over the last few years.

I wonder if the ban prohibits the smoking of "medical" pot in public.

Yup, it seems we'd all better start practicing how to march in lockstep. :(

the homeless are paid a monthly stipendI wonder if fines for smoking will be deducted from their monthly stipend, and if the stipend will be increased to cover such eventualities.
Or will the "homeless" be exempted?
Great post, btw.
To: exnavychick
but what they REALLY want is security and predictabilityYep. But the predictability aspect is circling the drain as we type. Who would have thought, 20 years ago that they would be putting condoms on pickles in the public schools, buggery would be rampant in certain public parks at night, but smoking a cigarette on the sidewalk would be forbidden by law ?

"I'm genuinely curious: what is it about socialism that seems to appeal to this vast swath of women...."
Just proof that biologically, women need a provider/protecter. When the feminazis rejected men as the provider/protector they turned to the government to fill that role.
Of course, this excludes the FReeperette community....
