Scientology's Nut Job Founder
Cruise a kook? Check out these gems from L. Ron's FBI file
JUNE 24--As Tom Cruise and his Scientology cohorts show Katie Holmes the religion's ropes, they surely won't be spending any time focusing on L. Ron Hubbard's wonderfully entertaining FBI file. Which, of course, is TSG's job. This Hubbard guy, the bureau documents reveal, was quite a raving lunatic (who could have imagined?). When he wasn't diming out a supposed Nazi, beefing about his wife, or complaining about being harassed by Cuban commies, Hubbard wrote to the FBI about a bizarre home invasion. Hubbard, the guiding light to nitwits like Cruise, John Travolta, Kirstie Alley, and Lisa Marie Presley, told agents in a May 1951 letter about being attacked in his crib. After being knocked out by the intruder(s), the science fiction author claimed, a needle was "thrust into his heart to produce a coronary thrombosis and he was given an electric shock." Little wonder Cruise & Co. are so down on electro convulsive therapy considering what happened to this poor mother Hubbard, who died in 1986 at age 74. Here are some excerpts from L. Ron's FBI file, which we obtained via a Freedom of Information request:
Blowing The Whistle On A Supposed Nazi (1 page)
A Plea For Red Protection (1 page)
Recalling A Heart Attack (3 pages)
FBI Reviews Bankruptcy Filing (2 pages)
L. Ron's Rap Sheet (1 page)
Hubbard: No Tricky Dick Fan (5 pages)

I read the Dianetics book years ago out of curiosity. I don't remember much - it was nonsense as far as I could tell - except that it seemed to focus on the idea that the unconcious mind still hears what is said around the person, even before birth. So when your mother cheats on your dad with you still in the womb (according to Hubbard) and bad mouths him, you pick up some sort of bad vibe which is why everyone is messed up in adulthood.
He touched on this several times throughout the book leading me to believe he had some sort of wierd hangup about his adulterous mother.
You can also pick up these bad vibes while under anaesthesia if the doctors say nasty things about while you're under, I guess.
As if that's not kooky enough. I later learned that if you rise high enough in their ranks, they eventually start telling you about alien super beings, space ships and volcanos with nukes in them or some silly crap.
I really find it difficult to believe that seemingly reasonably intelligent adults actually buy into this stuff. I mean Cruise and Travolta are obviously no mental giants but they're hardly morons.. or are they?
I wonder how much Scientology has soaked them for so far?

uuumm no, Attis, Dionysus, Osiris, Mithra and Horus to name a few were all resurrected from the dead.A few hits, a few misses, but none are real parallels.
And they were also all crucified, turned water into wine, had 12 disciples and were born of virgins on Dec. 25
All of this is factually wrong.

Well, actually you will find this parallel to Christianity because the ancients were aware that salvation was to come to mankind through God's plan of salvation. Until God revealed His plan specifically to Abraham, many nations had coveted it for their own glory, and used what they knew of it for their own beliefs. Just like the Spanish found a bizarre religion that looked superficially like Christianity in South America, what these people practiced was a counterfeit of the true plan.

"Jesus is the only founder of a religion who resurrected from the dead."
uuumm no, Attis, Dionysus, Osiris, Mithra and Horus to name a few were all resurrected from the dead.
But their religions are dead...

But then mention that you are a disciple of Jesus. That's the end of the party. I especially like the silence that ensues. We are such embarrassments.

From the Readers Digest article: He tells them he is a nuclear physicist who was severely wounded while serving with the U.S. Navy in World War 11.
That's some kind of science fiction writer. World War 11, indeed!

My wife and I couldn't wait to see the new "War of the Worlds" movie. After watching Mr. Cruise's shenanigans and hearing his mindless pronouncements over the last month or so, however, I think we're going to have to re-think seeing it.

Remember, L. Ron is alive and well living on an island with Tommy's $.

Here's how it works:
They tell you that your human potential is limited by these thought inhibitors, or some such thing, that were implanted millenia ago by aliens. You have to get 'clear', and this can only be done by the Church of Scientology.
They hook you up to what amounts to a polygraph, and start the psychological probing process. They compile a fat file of all your innermost thoughts and secrets as this process continues. All the while, you are being charged steeply for this wonderful service.
If you ever wise up and decide to leave, it's blackmail city.

Here' what I have:
Scientology is an ongoing, organized criminal enterprise and cult masquerading as a religion.
See here:

A friend of mine actually joined the church for an investigative report for
Spy Magazine years ago. He's some of what he found:

Are you series??? IT was "unreadable". I thought it was the most disjointed, poorly written piece of crap I've ever read. When I was done, I went "huh?" - I can't believe ANYONE would ever say it was "adequate" - let alone good.

Jesus is the only founder of a religion who resurrected from the dead.
Jesus is the only one who had reliable witnesses numbering the the thousands many of them once hostile witnesses...
Especially among the religious scholars and lawyers of the day
as well as Roman Army officers..
No other has had such documentation...truth is established/ascertained by reliable witnesses..
One cannot honestly make an equivilancy claim against Jesus of Nazareth with the obvious false gods (who have no such witnesses) you mention
imo

Heck yeah, I couldn't put it down. When I tell people about it I describe it as how Johnny Goodboy Taylor saved the earth from the evil bankers from outer space and took over the universe. I'm just glad I saw the movie first.
To: Trampled by Lambs
From what little I have researched on Scientology they teach that if you can justify anything you do in your own mind then that thing is ok. Money to the church helps soothe your conscience.
To: joesnuffy
Show me where in any historical documentation-besides the Bible or Christian texts- that speaks of Jesus' crucifixion and resurrection. I have never heard of any. I'm not saying that you are wrong, but I would like to know.
