I've never watched the whole 'Born on the Fourth July' movie.

After watching the left broil our young men in the service, I just wasn't interested.

I did watch enough of it to see where it was headed. That was a direction I just wasn't inclined to go, with it.

It seemed to me they were trying to show the metamorphasis of the Kovik character from gung ho patriot, to burnt out hater of the military that did this to him.

Perhaps this appealed to others. Perhaps I've skewed what the movie was all about. I just couldn't sit through it.

Thanks for the comments.

"Eyes Wide Shut" was Stanley Kubrick's last film, so it is hard to fault Cruise for wanting to star in it. I suppose the film was sort of soft core porn, but it was still interesting.

The main problem with the film was Cruise's wooden acting. He was just not up to the role -- even Nicole Kidman acted him off the screen.

I cannot believe that he is the biggest film star in the world. Why should he be? Because he is "cute"? Bleaugh. He has all the masculinity of Elijah Wood.
