'Worlds' star: 'You don't know the history of psychiatry. I do' NEW YORK (AP) -- Let the cynics talk. Tom Cruise is in love -- and he just can't restrain himself.

"You know what? There's always cynics. There always has been. There always will be," said Cruise, who hasn't been shy about displaying his affection for "Batman Begins" actress Katie Holmes. "I have never worried ... about what other people think and what other people say."

Cruise, 42, and Holmes, 26, went public with their romance in April, smooching and posing for photographers in Rome. They recently became engaged.

Many have doubted the romance -- the words "publicity stunt" have rained down on the couple as Cruise has promoted his new film, "War of the Worlds," directed by Steven Spielberg, which opens on June 29.

I think it showed in his past that he had dyslexia and a stuttering problem and scientology helped him, that is why he and some of these other celebrities have gotten into Scientology is because of some mental or drug problems..

Lisa Marie Presley- Went for Drug Abuse
Kirstie-Alley for Drug Abuse
John Travolta- Because he was becoming a nobody after Saturday Night Disco.

None of these people were going to the Church of Scientology to find GOD they were going there to detox.

Bill Clinton declared Scientology a real religion and gave them tax free status.
I wasn't aware president's had that much power....That being true, Bush could reverse it?

Well you don't hear Tom Hanks and Speilberg opening up there Big Pie Holes...Tom Crusie is becoming looney because he is involved in a cult.

Kate BOSWORTH, not Katie HOLMES. You may know her as the chick with two colored eyes from Blue Crush, or Wonderland, or Beyond the Sea.

Since many psychiatric medications are also used by neurologists, should we stop getting treatment for neurological problems?

I agree that oftentimes, people may be too quick to prescribe drugs. However, there are some times when drugs are necessary for psychiatric problems.

OK. Don't know her, but I don't watch much main stream TV. My favorite shows are Forensic Files, CSI, and Two and Half Men.

"Perhaps this appealed to others. Perhaps I've skewed what the movie was all about. I just couldn't sit through it."

No, you haven't skewed anything. You hit the nail right on the head. If you have any doubts, think Oliver Stone... he was the director.

No of course not...People today are much lazier than they were before the technology boom. Kids use to be able to play and play and play until they Konked out! Kids have energy to burn they don't burn it up they are dignosed as ADDH Attention Decifit, As a Kid I did not know one child on medication not one!

People have a hosts of problems because they over eat and are over weight they don't feel right so the doc puts them on Prozac or Ambien, you need to move, many of us here right on our Computers as much as we all are addicted to FR need to get off at times go run or power walk, get some Vitamin D sunshine keep your weight down eat sensibly and try to have a good attitude, you will eliminate many people's need to use drugs prescibed by psychiatrists.

Well, it's good to know now that there's NO SUCH THING as a chemical imbalance.

I wonder why real doctors are always ordering those blood chemistry tests?

The IRS commissioner under Bill Clinton ruled in 1993 ruled that Scientology was a religion eligible for tax exempt status.

I seem to recall tht this ruling followed John Travolta exerting tremendous pressure on slick willie.

There are older men that date younger women that look really cute. Then there are those like this match. It just looks like a sleazy old man dating someone who looks like she should be his daughter.

the little man is so typical! As most celebrities, he thinks that the more famous he becomes the smarter he gets.

I wanna' see the equation.

1 FU* = 1 IQ?

*FU = Fame Unit
