'Worlds' star: 'You don't know the history of psychiatry. I do' NEW YORK (AP) -- Let the cynics talk. Tom Cruise is in love -- and he just can't restrain himself.
"You know what? There's always cynics. There always has been. There always will be," said Cruise, who hasn't been shy about displaying his affection for "Batman Begins" actress Katie Holmes. "I have never worried ... about what other people think and what other people say."
Cruise, 42, and Holmes, 26, went public with their romance in April, smooching and posing for photographers in Rome. They recently became engaged.
Many have doubted the romance -- the words "publicity stunt" have rained down on the couple as Cruise has promoted his new film, "War of the Worlds," directed by Steven Spielberg, which opens on June 29.

When I pointed out 'performed properly', I meant that for definite psychiatric disorders like manic/depression or schitzophrenia. I NEVER said we should drug our children.
Are Doe Eyes and olde north church Scientologists?
You do realize you are posting to a thread in which the discussion concerns giving Ritalin to children?
Yeah, he can afford her...afford her as his new beard. :-)
Not just Ritalin to children, but psychiatry in general, or so it appeared to me.
Sorry, your right. Its been so long I forgot the beginning.
Google says upper mid-range (5'8")
I read Dianetics about 10 years ago. It had that "manifesto" feel about it. Like pretzel logic, self-proving argument and explanation. I can understand why celebrities are susceptible to it's allure. They pay so many people to be toadies and syncophants, they need to pay people to say no. It's kind of like the BDSM lifestyle. They want someone to tell them no. And the Scientology temples are more than willing to take the checks.
Jealous of what? Is she some kinda a demi-God we don't know about? Tom Crusie and Katie Holmes are the last people anyone has to be jealous about...
What do you mean by paying people to say no?
So say you. What do you know about testosterone?
Also know as the Napoleonic Complex
Well if you are a female to much of it will give you a moustache...
Can't disagree with that. I sport a mustache, even at my advanced age.
I take it you are male so that would be okay!
That's a relief. Thanks for the validation. :)
Wow......thanks for the info.
No wonder TC is so wacky....
Good Lord.....what's wrong with those folks in Florida? Something about this reminds me of Terri's story.
Tom Cruise is an idiot, imho.
I was enjoying the mental image though.
These people don't generally hear the word "no" as they are surrounded by agents, syncophants and other yes men. The Scientologist's "tithe" is the payment to hear the word "no".
