Via the Raich decision, even getting it amended at the State level won't over ride this decision.

And there are miles and miles of coastline down there with nothing around where they could build. But then, Freeport wouldn't get the tax revenue.

Well I am worried about my house now. I live on the water, what if some rich guy wants my proprty so he can build a bigger prettier house? I'm screwed, I no longer have a right to my property. And what about my little bar in my little down town area? Some developers wants to build a strip mall and again I'm screwed, this sucks big time.

I think the message is that's it's time to get on the gravy train. Start a development company and start kicking your neighbors out of their houses.

Just wait. The powers that be will help cause the housing bubble to deflate and then the cities will move on residential real estate to sell to developers ... at the deflated prices. They're not going to move on a bunch of real estate at today's inflated prices. They'll wait until it collapses or facilitate the collapse.

As long as the general masses get their "bread and circuses" they are going to remain complacent. I don't think many have the guts to stand and fight for what they believe, unlike our ancestors from the Revolutionary War and the Southerners during the Civil War. The masses are more concerned with getting reparations for something that happened 150 years ago or their rights to bugger their neighbor.
I expect the rhetoric for gun control to be ratcheted up since government bureaucrats are going to be the target for anger and dislike.

Not a big impact in Alaska. Less than 1% of the state is privately owned. They already got nearly all the land.

If you have a ping list for this subject, please include me. Most people don't have any clue of how dastardly our government continues to work behind our backs to turn us into a communist state.

The supreme court ruled it was up to state laws to decide
The supreme court told local government that it is free to violate the Constitution. This decision, along with the Commerce Clause decision gives total power to the government. Government now owns all property and all persons. We no longer live in a free country.

The Supreme Court decision did state explicity that the state did have the right to limit this activity it becomes an excessive burden on the lan/home owners of the state,

The founders of our great nation would personally and physically remove the 5 wayward vagrants from their offices at the Supreme Court.
This crap was one of the original grievances in the Declaration. Amazing.
