I'd rather work at night and sleep in the day, but I only need 4 hours of daylight to keep this other thing going. Don't know what club yet. Have to get my license first! LOL

I am enjoying it! It just ends too soon. I could just spend days watching the bunnies and the hummingbirds. Then there is a pair of starlings that want so bad to build a nest under the porch eaves, but they make a mess so my aunt has to shoo them off. It's just different out here. It is where I always came to visit my grandparents when I was little.....so it means a lot, this little area of Texas!

It's good you can be on line. It would be hard if you didn't have access to a computer. I remember a vacation with no computer access. I couldn't believe how much I missed it. :) When do you return from your visit?

I wish I could stay. It's getting late here. I hope to see you tomorrow!

Go placidly amid the noise and haste, and remember what peace there may be in silence.

As far as possible without surrender be on good terms with all persons. Speak your truth quietly and clearly; and listen to others, even the dull and the ignorant; they too have their story.

Avoid loud and aggressive persons, they are vexations to the spirit. If you compare yourself with others, you may become vain and bitter; for always there will be greater and lesser persons than yourself. Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans.

Keep interested in your own career, however humble; it is a real possession in the changing fortunes of time. Exercise caution in your business affairs; for the world is full of trickery. But let this not blind you to what virtue there is; many persons strive for high ideals; and everywhere life is full of heroism.

Be yourself. Especially, do not feign affection. Neither be cynical about love; for in the face of all aridity and disenchantment it is as perennial as the grass.

Take kindly the counsel of the years, gracefully surrendering the things of youth.

Nurture strength of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune. But do not distress yourself with dark imaginings. Many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness.

Beyond a wholesome discipline, be gentle with yourself.

You are a child of the universe, no less than the trees and the stars; you have a right to be here.

And whether or not it is clear to you, no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should.

Therefore be at peace with God, whatever you conceive Him to be, and whatever your labors and aspirations, in the noisy confusion of life keep peace with your soul.

With all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world.

Be cheerful. Strive to be happy.

Max Erhman

Good night Cantteners and Troops..

God Bless and keep you always..

Ms.B

Yeah!.....and you'll get the hang of it, too, when you have moved down here! How long before that happens--or is it determined yet that it will happen?

My aunt would love you, then, if you would shoot the varmints! They killed a rattle snake last week on the very back porch we were sitting on this morning! It was curled up under the lawn mower taking a nap in the shade. I always watch where I put my feet when I step out the door around here!

If she left it to me I'm afraid her sons would be very upset, LOL,--but I would seriously be willing to buy the place from them. But, there's MR.LUV, and I don't know how he would feel about living in the country--he's never done it--well since he was an infant in Missouri.

Hi, Valerie! Saw your picture---finally (hate dial-up!!!)--of that band. They were cute! I haven't read all the posts, were they good, too?

Me too. I would love to sit and see Bunnies, Roadrunners and Hummingbirds. Listening to coyotes. That sound like a dream to have Hummingbirds buzzing around your head. What a wonderful memory you have of visiting your Grandparents. To be there, you must be reliving those happy memories too. :)

I would have to shoo those starlings too. Now if they were a different bird, I would let them nest. LOL!

Good night, LuvW! :)
