I don't remember. Do Detroit fans burn the city if they win or if they lose? (or does it matter?)

Doesn't matter, dfu. Pistons, Red Wings, Tigers (no way in hell are the Lions gonna do anything)...win or lose, the city's going down in flames. It's very appropos that Rush calls it "New Fallujah".

By the way, though I know this is a BBall thread, what's your opinion about all things Rove?

Duncan doesn't deserve it.

Well, the NBA fixes everything for the players they select to market, from the referee calls to the MVP award, apparently.

Agreed.

Did they give it to him because of history?

Girobli and Horry both had BETTER series.

Beats me? I don't follow Basketball. Duncan couldn't sink one free throw shot. Why does he deserve it?

I don't think we're on the same page.

If you think Kobe is somehow good for the Lakers you are right.

Horry was their heart.

Without Horry, they go home losers.

Horry is my MVP!

The late Chick Hearn..........

This one is in the fridge.

the door's closed,
the light's out,
the eggs are coolin,
the butter's getting hard,
the jellow's jigglin',
AND THE BEER IS COOLIN'!

(he added that last one for the 2002 Lakers championship, less than two months before his death.)

Long live "Golden Throat". Not to be maudlin, but I still say that the Lakers' heart died the day that he did.

We in LA were truly blessed to have him.

Yeah, the brain trust really did well letting him go.

2 for 38 in that playoff (3 pts or regulars)in 2003, I was all but showing him the door.
