You are out of line for your personal attack on me. I have never once defended the VDS family nor would I, because I do not know the truth, Joran seems to be rather guilty in this matter. But I do know that the tactics used that morning by Jug and friends did not advance their cause. During the interview, I found Jug Twitty to be petty and self-absorbed which was my observation and opinion and frankly, I am ususally right.

The authorities were there! So are they aiding and abetting vigilantes?

The authorities also used the "cowboy"word and the minute I heard it I knew something was rotten there.

I disagree. This kid was a snot right from the FIRST time the Twitty's asked him a few questions. His attitude stunk. And then the father jumped in and said "This isn't America, Joran You say Nothing"!! This 17 year old boy knew he would be supported by his father REGARDLESS of whether he was wrong. And why do you say this HOSTIILE group? They didn't start out hostile. They simply wanted the boy to help them with some answers. It BECAME hostile but not because of Natalee's family.

I was referring to your saying that had anyone shown up at your home at 3 am looking for a missing child that our son knew something of, you would advise silence and kick them off your property.

Now you opined your personal beliefs and an admissionof your actions in the above case. That tells me worlds about you and the kind of human being you are.

And if your child has been missing for a month with the authorities not doing a decent job of finding them, you might be self absorbed in pain. But instead you judge these people, these poor people who are in a hell very few of us know.

Nobody associates willingly with a person who acts as you say you would act. That is a fact dear.

No, I think it should be done professionally and methodically until the evidence is extracted.

I nearly dropped my coffee when I heard what this kid had said to his mother about "kicking her butt" also. The mother didn't appear to have a clue how that might sound.

No, the authorities that used the whiney "vigilante". The friends of pvdsl. Not the two cops that were there. I'm sure the other couple of cops that were there said, "upset" or "worried".

You not only defended the VDS family, you went further and said you would have kicked them off your property.

How come you are allowed to call this family petty, vigilante, self absorbed, etc. and when someone says you have no heart, you are offended.

A piece of work you are.

About 30 years ago, the local sheriff and a neighboring rancher showed up at our house at 1:00 AM, demanding to question our (then) 13 year old son. The rancher's barn was on fire because some kids threw firecrackers into it. I very politely invited them in, offered them iced tea and lemon wafers. I woke our son and my husband. They joined us for the refreshments. We then asked our son to tell them all he knew, or didn't know, about the incident. We knew he was innocent and had been home all night busy with chores and then to bed early. I knew he never left the house because I was up late watching Johnny Carson.

The point is............we acted responsibly and politely to the sheriff and our neighbor. Had our son been guilty, we might have acted differently. Ala the van der Sloots.

Guilt is far more belligerant than innocence.

"God I hope Mark is wrong on this one. May God HIMSELF help this family. I remember how it seemed that God HIMSELF just picked up Laci Peterson and her son and washed them ashore for the whole world to see where her loving husband had dropped them.!! That storm that washed them up was very Unusual according to the Harbor master!! He can do it again."

Best post of the day, I just wanted to re-post it.

I heard a snippet today of a report regarding special prayers to the deceased Pope John Paul would be answered. I'm not Catholic so I don't know and I missed most of the report, but can we just say a prayer that Natalee can call out somehow to those searching for her. Just a small clue is all we need to find her.

I just think that showing up at a family's home at 3:00 AM making demands did nothing but create hostility, it certainly did not help find Natalee. However, going to the family home at 8:00 AM and asking a few smart questions may have been less aggressive and netted better results.

I'm Catholic. I wish I'd heard that report. I'd say go ahead and pray. He's not a saint yet, but I think he's listening.

Back again, I see.

I think I would be a little concerned if a posse showed up at my house at 3:00 in the am demanding my son.

Once again, facts don't seem to come into play with your smears against the Twittys: they flew to Aruba, met with the police, went to the hotel, found out Joran was the last one seen with her and went WITH THE POLICE to his home to find out where the heck she was.

Incidentally, even if I knew my son was innocent beyond a shadow of a doubt I would tell him not to say a word

Why? If you have nothing to hide, why would you IMPEDE the investigating into a missing child by ordering your son to clam up?

which would be before I demanded they turn the spotlights off and get the hell off of my property.

Right. I can see you telling that to the police right now. NOT.

Yes, and your neighbor would do the same for you. Good neighbors is what helps keep all of us safe. We are only asking Aruba to be a good neighbor.

If not, ...

Using "Alabama Posse",too, which btw, I'm a member of.

I guess the Twittys forgot their horses, sixguns, and rope. But they did come with the "Sheriff", like a good "posse" should.
