Don't ATM's in Aruba have video-cams? The police would see on tape whether it was Joran or Paul using the card.
I wonder if that is where his story changed from what he had told LE and caught the ears of LE.

Then one cold January evening when I was 13 years old, my father jumped to his death from a bridge. My family was unlucky enough to have the "town gossip" living right across the road from us. The very next morning.... bright and early and bitterly cold, the "town gossip" found it oddly necessary to traipse across the road to question my broken-hearted mother on the details she was unfortunate not to find in the local morning paper. It was disgusting and very, very sad for my mother.
There are a few of those "town gossips" on this thread, if I may say so, the kind of people who have not enough in their lives, they must spend a great deal of their time on threads such as these.
Darn, how would the world be without "town gossips" howling and speculating about others' unfortunate situations.
This world would be better if the "town gossips" would go read a good book.

I don't think that Pappa deliberately set out to connect with Joran and Natalee in the early hours. My speculation is that he was just the clean up guy..It's all I can think of :(

And, you are right that rape has nothing to do with love -- for sure! Who said that it did? Ugh, not me I hope I did not infer that. But, I don't think rape or "love" are even part of this. Certainly there was not enough time to have real love.
And, it has never been proven what their time on the beach involved. It could be as innocent as two teens, behaving as teens do sometimes, filled with the hormones, excitement, delight of a night in paradise, and the thoughts of the end to a vacation. Without any intimate sex involved, but just the playfulness of petting. I think it would be hard for me to feel for sure they had sex. I am not naive, I know that happens, of course, but until proven I just cannot state for sure. They could have just been sitting, talking, petting, and sharing thoughts.
I am not going to assume they had sex of the full nature. Sure they could have. It could have been consensual or not. I do not want to judge either of them on that issue. Teens have sex, sure, but a lot of time they just like to be together.

Latest developments (Saturday):According to Natalee's aunt on Larry King (CNN) on Friday, some psychics have been in contact with Beth Holloway, but they have not provided any solid information (yet). Part of the transcript:

HOLLOWAY: To my knowledge, they have had a psychic come in. I don't know what the outcome of that was.
KLAAS: It's a waste of time and it's a waste of resource.

KLAAS: Because they don't find anybody. We had a million psychics. Here's what these folks want. They want a free ticket to Aruba. They want a free vacation. I would stay far away, leave this to the professionals.

Amazing isn't it. I heard that for the first time last night on Greta (who else!) She said they were following up on this because this man has not left the island and hasn't been found yet. Of course as fast as the news is moving on this story, this may have been solved already. I don't know.
