My review of "THE TRUTH ABOUT HILLARY" on Amazon.com
Edward Klein nails it. He dissects the character of Hillary Clinton by examining what she DOES, not what she SAYS. (Words--especially a Clinton's words--are cheap.)
The author argues that the absolute disqualifier for Mrs. Clinton is not her political or her (putative) sexual orientation. It is her complete lack of character, her ruthlessness and corruption, of which abuse of women is a recurring manifestation. It is well documented that Hillary Clinton aided and abetted her husband's career of predation, and did it for power and treasure.
If this book is a work of fiction as some Klein detractors claim, why are the Clintons working overtime to censor it? They and their political machine have caused the cancellation of numerous Klein interviews about this book.
I think the most revealing aspect of this book is the Clintons' reaction both to it and to its so-called rape-of-Hillary-by-Bill charge, (a charge which, by the way, the author does NOT make).
Women, especially, should note the significant difference in Clinton reaction--(reaction time and substance of reaction) to this 'rape' charge vs. the charge of rape lodged by Juanita Broaddrick against the Clintons. For background, read "Did he rape that woman, Juanita Broaddrick?" (The Wall Street Journal)
This difference exposes the Clintons' consciousness of guilt in the Broaddrick rape.
"The Truth About Hillary" is a must-read for every American.

Hooray Mia!
Your talking Hillary head is still scary!
amazon doesn't allow the fancy stuff. ;)
An objective, analytical approach is necessary (altho not necessarily sufficient) to reach the reflexively clintonoid.
Mia - because of your review, I'm going to read it.
Hillary's rise to power is fascinating and frightening at the same time - contemplating how gullible the masses can be misled by one's ability to acquire power and control through any means of corruption and deception possible.
Great review, Mia. I almost picked up a copy of the book today at the store.
Guess I'll have to go back and buy it.
thanx :)
that's great. thx. :)
You say read it - I'll read it!

and thanks for reading and reviewing this.
What's wrong with "polemic?"
Wasn't Peggy Noonan's little book on hillary a polemic?
And since when must a book be a magnum opus--or even well written--to contribute to the political discourse?
Noonan's reasoning is circular. She criticizes Klein for inoculating the clintons against 'legitimate' criticism by describing their outrageous and abnormal acts even as she concedes that the clintons have a natural immunity to exposure because they (and their acts) are inherently outrageous and abnormal.
Noonan's criticisms and criteria--many valid under ordinary circumstances--are rendered moot by the book's famously rabid, vengeful subject. For example, seeking sources who are willing to go on the record about missus clinton is an exercise in futility....

good morning Mia

According to Ed Klein, not bill clinton. That Klein accuses bill of raping hillary is all clinton spin meant to discredit Klein. An excellent ploy, so it seems... See My review of "THE TRUTH ABOUT HILLARY" on Amazon.com: Notwithstanding the above, your question's converse is hanging out there begging to be asked: "Seriously, who in conversation would say to someone, 'I'm going home to rape my wife!' and mean it in a joking manner?" The clinton mindset, clinton proclivities, clinton dysfunction are revealed by clinton's own words. Short of catching the clintons in the act of rape, how much better can one do? Ironically, the Klein book also does that, i.e., catches them in the act of rape, (if only by inference).

Yours was by far the most eloquent and succinct of the reviews I read. I was amused to find several critiques that merely attacked the [evil] right without a single comment about the book's content. Thank you for your perseverance.
You are correct. The clintons are her off-the-charts, off-the-wall counterexample. However, as I pointed out above, Noonan sets up a self-contradictory argument, i.e., she criticizes Klein for inoculating the clintons against 'legitimate' criticism by describing their outrageous and abnormal acts even as she concedes that the clintons have a natural immunity to exposure because they (and their acts) are inherently outrageous and abnormal. Satisfying Noonan aesthetics and exposing clinton ugliness is a mutually exclusive exercise. I believe in your next post you are looking for the brilliant reporter, Claudia Rosett, the Journal's unNoonan, if you will. Your suggestion that Claudia Rosett do a book on missus clinton is a brilliant one. |
Thanks Mia T. Thanks for all that you do. Thanks for every effort that you make.
thanx. (I hope you neutralized the clintonoids by FReeping the evaluation of my review.) ;)
Why of course!
