I would call BET's late-night programming pornographic in nature. Is there nudity?

Uh, I think so. I don't know, though, to tell you the truth... I stumbled upon one of their shows at about 2 AM one morning and was shocked by the content.

"You know, the 70 to 90% of America who hates this stuff should just tell the cable companies to stuff it for a year or two. I think they just might come around."
It's impossible to organize people to sacrifice like that these days. However, if you personally feel that cable is causing more harm than good in your household, get rid of it. I think kids raised without TV are better off anyway, and you can still have the broadcast channels for anything parituclarly important.

No this is great IF it gets the huge over representation off homosexuals off the rest of tv.
Remember parents can always block the channels. And if they don't most kids use "gay" as a negative term. People are naturally heterosexuals. A homosexual program or even network will not change that.

In order for a network to survive, it has to have ratings. That's the market place.
This thing will flop. It's hard enough for networks to compete as it is without new networks coming in which will hurt everyone's bottom line.
If the powers that be decide to stubbornly ride it out, then I hope they lose their shirts bigtime. A show here and there I can avoid... a public channel? I don't think so.
They better think twice.

I can be offended by homosexual programming being piped into my home. I don't want it there. Hey, if that bothers you, if you like that stuff it's okay with me. I've voiced my opinion and that's all there is to it.

If it weren't for Deadwood and Sopranos, and movies I guess, I'd drop it.

Shocked as in, "I think I'll watch this awhile and see how shocking it is" or actually switch-it-off-NOW stunned?

It won't. Homosexuals are over represented on the rest of TV because of the hollywood culture. HBO and the other movie channels are all homosexuality and/or left-wing propoganda such as Michael Moore and Al Franken's shows.

Agreed on all counts. I don't have children in the home any longer, but I do pitty the folks who do under this onslaught.

Orbitz does not surprise me. Gays travel for leisure in numbers disproportionate to others.

I thought they already had gay networks-they were called Lifetime and The Food Channel.
