Talk show host Sean Hannity broke the media censorship of the details of the new book by Edward Klein, "The Truth About Hillary.
But one of the nations top conservative talker said the book had ingited a "huge controversy and that even he was under enormous pressure to cancel his planned interviews with Klein for his ABC syndicated radio program and Fox News TV show.
"I've had more political pressure than I've ever had in all my years in radio, Hannity said to Klein after a blockbuster 90-minute interview with the controversial author.
Hannity did not elaborate the source of the pressure to cancel the planned appearance.
Nor did he apparently buckle to the pressure, explaining to his radio audience, "We deal in controversy - that's what we do, here."
"I've got to tell you" Hannity told Klein midway through the interview. "Do you know the number of requests I've had to cancel you and not have you on this program? I think it was higher than any guest or controversial author we've had on this program."
"I've never in the history of this program had more demands to cancel the guest," Hannity reiterated.
But Klein quickly interjected to say that the Clinton public relations machine had successfully pressured other radio and TV outlets to cancel interviews with him.
"A number of people who have booked me on TV and radio have already canceled," Klein said. "And the reason they've canceled is because is the publicity machine of the Clintons is hard at work."
On both his TV and radio show, Hannity openly worried that the new book may backfire on conservatives as it dealt with sensational personal and sexual allegations against the former First Lady he argued were not worthy of political debate.
Klein, a veteran journalist and author who has spent four decades in the media world, including major editing jobs at the New York Times and Newsweek, said he had set out to write a biography that captures Hillarys flawed character, not a political work about her.
Asked if the effort to silence him hasn't made him "afraid," Klein told Hannity: "If I weren't concerned, I'd be nuts.
"I'd be crazy, he said, adding, "Because the Clintons have a well established career reputation of smearing other people. And I know they're out to get me and I know they're going to do everything in their power to get me."
Klein vowed, however: "They're not going to be successful."
Hannity the DQ? I think so. I like Hannity but first read gives me that impression.
Give me a friggin' break... like Clintonistas would try to pressure Hannity, and like Hannity would care what they had to say.
If he is only worried about being "smeared", he must be a poor researcher....
Maybe Sean could write a book about it.....
Arkanside number ?????
BS O"meter registering HIGH!! Ed Klein was probably paid by the Clintons to do this book. Who the hell would care if Bill raped Hillary to get Chelsea?? Geesh...who would ever KNOW that? PHONEY!!!
It's probably not the Clintonistas. More likely it's all the Republicans who want to stay miles away from this book and preent a resurgence of Hillary the Martyr.
I think Hannity is honest. And the clintons know how to apply pressure. They pushed Rupert Murdoch so hard against the wall that he came out for al gore. People forget that, but he only switched his support back to Bush after election day.
Clinton went right to the top and threatened regulatory action against bosses who refused to fire reporters he disliked.
What kind of threat could hillary apply? I can think of plenty of possibilities, from the FBI files to the threat that she would punish Hannity's network bosses if she ever got into the White House. Just because you are on the other side politically doesn't mean that she can't exert plenty of leverage against you.
Republicans and their allies could have asked him not to have Klein on.
SEAN, NAME NAMES, PLEASE!
And thanks for hosting Ed today in the meantime.

The Clintons have always operated under threat and intimidation. This should come as no surprise. It will be intresting to watch this book and how well it holds up on the best seller lists. Klein is not some sort of right wing guy. So attacks will be intresting.
Gee, has Hannity ever written a book?
did Sean offer Klein passes to Ruth's Chris?
So, what IS the truth about Hillary (that we don't already know?)
These two clowns remind me of a circus act: where Bill does a handstand (while snorting a pile of coke) as Hillary jumps up, does a somersault, and lands with his two heels imbedded on her shoulders, and then slowly, very slowly, proceeds to raise her lower half into an erect handstand as well. (Did I just use Hillary and erect in the same sentence?)
The deafening applause coming not so much for the feat of strength, but the odds of raising that much cottage cheese to such great heights while grasping the 'brass' ring in her fungily toe.
PS, I think Klein is just selling books, and we'll not know 'till the contents spill out whether this guy rates 'Swiftie' status.
One of my two bumperstickers shall read: "Bring the Bitch Down", the other: "Can you get your boobs to stop staring at my eyes?"
I think so.
Heard the interview on Hannity radio....I thought Sean was playing devil's advocate and seemed to almost defend Hillary against the accusations in the book. He basically was asking, "why is her personal life important to the voter?" Sean may want to join Newt and Hillary for the next campaign event...
Take the blue pill and I'll show you how deep the rabbit hole goes.
