It didn't take long from the time Daley said he should apologize until he went out and did so. The crying was probably over how close he came to being cut off from the Daley Crime Machine's money supply.
A more forthright apology would be better than crocodile tears.
Did he admit that HE LIED?
Because when you say something that know for a fact is NOT TRUE ...You Are A Liar..
Did he apologize for the harm he has caused...or the moral
he has undermined or the future terrorism he has enabled
and encouraged?
Will he apologize to the mothers of our dead...thanks to
him and his ilk and their incessant undermining of our
troops..
Will he go to Gitmo and offer to be a guard for a month or two...and serve at the lowest rank doing the dirtiest jobs
to show his support?
Dick Durbin crying? GOOD-he should!
There are three and only three possibilities to explain why Durbin said what he did and is now apologizing for it:
1. He really believes the treatment at Gitmo is Nazi-like but his remarks have become a political liability so he's a cowardly, anti-American hypocrite.
2. He never really believed the treatment at Gitmo is Nazi-like but just said it to get attention, in which case he is an opportunistic swine.
3. He believed it at the time he said it but has since learned it's not true so he's a gun-jumping moron and a shallow imbecile.
If there's a fourth explanation, let me know.
When a senior Senator in the leadership of the minority party accuses U.S. Marines and intelligence officers of acting like Nazis, Soviets, and Pol Pot, it takes more than alligator tears to settle the matter. Durbin's false accusations were made on the floor of the Senate and he has yet to retract them, despite his so-called apology. The Senate must formally rebuke Durbin so the record reflects that our legislature firmly rejects his outrageous assertions.
Yeah, he cries. Why am I reminded of Bill Clinton crying at Ron Brown's funeral?
Some may believe? Of course they are silly fools. But I will utter the word "apology" after telling them how wrong they are and that should do it. After all, John McCain is satisfied.
Crying?
What a girlie-man.
In this case, I think it was tears of self-pity rather than remorse. Little Dickie Durban has about as much love of country as Al Frankenswine.
Notice that Turd Durbin did NOT say HE thought he went over the line....
This is no apology, and shouldn't be accepted as one..
He is simply acknowledging he offended some folks....
Censor and remove the lying, slanderous, traitorous bastard from the Senate...... NOW.
Semper Fi
Dickie D., Voinovich both crying for something they said? What a bunch of weak-kneed girlie men!! Do they think crying while excusing themselves - Dickie did not apologize for lying - makes everything OK? God help us.
"You're crying? There's no crying in Gitmo you pansy-ass wuss!!! Now get out of my sight and go and tinkle sitting down..."
(sorry, after the sixth word I started ad-libbing... ) :o)
He's just crying over the possibility he could be stripped of his minority whip position.
They're having a conniption fit over at DU. They honestly believe that calling our troop Nazis will win democratic seats in the mid term elections.
Scumbags have tear-ducts?
An apology without a retracton is worthless, as is he.
Sanator, 3000 innocent Americans died when they went to work at the hands of these people, yet you save your most overblown hype for the criticism of American troops doing their lefvel best to protect us.
If you thing 9/11 was evil, then I would like you to tell how you think about that -- except that you cannot, because you have already used your hyperbole on your own, and you would not be able to cite more harsh examples.
How can you be considered a leader of any portion of our country if you cannot make such a basic comparison in anything like a proportional manner?
As Senator Biden has oft repeated, this is about yhour J-U-D-G-M-E-N-T!
Your rhetoric, like your leadership, is highly un balanced, and I doubt an apology, even if you do ever give a real one, will change your JUDGMENT!
Apology not accepted. 150 years ago, the firing squad would be loading. Sometimes I miss those good ole' days.
