If we get somebody outside of the court, it would be only one fight, making it easier.
If Bush tries to move up somebody on the court, we would then have to replace that justice in the original slot.

My dream is for Pres. Bush to nominate Ken Starr or even renominate Bork. IMHO, it won't happen, but it is nice to dream sometimesOh, wouldn't that be fun to watch.
Guess you and I truly fit the category of "evil conservatives." LOL!

You state he didn't stand behind his nominees.
I give instances that prove he has stood by them.
You respond with sarcasm about how successful it has been. was that the point under argument? No.
To: dubyaismypresident
Ken Starr. He should have been nominated instead of Souter. And the punchline to that joke is Ken Starr is EXACTLY who the Democrats wanted 41 to nominate instead of Clarence Thomas. :-)

I got called a freak, about ten times last week. Everywhere I went, people were dropping comments about "abstract" mathematicians. Dang rocket scientists. I was at WSMR.

Agreed. Scalia's recent decision on medical marijuana was rather disturbing as well. Too much like a man itching for the job of CJ.

Thomas is a fine jurist, but Scalia is the Mark Steyn of justices. You've hit on it! Mark Steyn for Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of the United States!
(and you don't have to post a picture of Steyn, as you would if you mentioned constitutional lawyer Ann Coulter).

Thomas for Chief.
Alex Kozinski(sp) of the 9th Circuit would be a great pick to replace Rehnquist.
So would Markman, Taylor, Young, or Corrigan off of Michigan's Supreme Court.
