Terri Schiavo's husband buried her cremated remains in a Clearwater cemetery Monday, inscribing on her bronze grave marker that ``I kept my promise.''
David Gibbs, an attorney for the woman's parents, Bob and Mary Schindler, said inscribing the marker that way was a nasty political statement by Michael Schiavo, who held the service and burial Monday before telling her family.
``Obviously, that's a real shot and another unkind act toward a grieving mom and dad,'' Gibbs said.
After earlier announcing plans to bury his wife's ashes in their native Pennsylvania, Michael Schiavo instead interred them at Sylvan Abbey Memorial Park in Clearwater, near Tampa, his attorney, George Felos, said in a short news release Monday.

I wonder how strong Arnold's pinkies are? I might be able to match him.
Dear lord, you barely got out of here alive earlier this afternoon after that remark!
Quit while you're ahead.
Did you read post#726? It is really excellent.
I thought so.
The footnote that best counters that equalistic nullation of a summary is the tombstone. It pegs the meter.
A constitutional representative republic is not exactly a biblical form of government. Our legal system draws on biblical principles insofar as they formed the basis for British common law. But the United States is more a product of the Enlightenment than it is of 'Judaeo-Christian' principles.
I guess your liberal secular public school teachers neglected to mention that...
Snarky, and wrong. Typical.
And yet that would seem to be the logical consequence.
"We were for amputating limbs before we were against it."
There are many Christian denominations that disapprove of physician assisted suicide and withdrawing of medical treatment eg hospice. I was responding to your blanket "Catholic" posting. You like painting people with broad brushes don't you?
In fact within the Catholic/Orthodox/Protestant umbrellas of Christian faith there are the pro life conservative movements who agree with my position: life - no hastening of death.
YOU KNOW it's difficult for ME to be honest? You know nothing. You don't even understand how you and the rest of your ilk crucify and destroy people all while claiming God is on your side. Terri WAS called home, but not in the way you wanted her to be called. Think about that, if you can still think.
You want me to be honest? Read on...
Your side spread gossip and lies about Michael Schiavo, claiming you know what is in his heart...claiming libelous things like he tried to kill her, and quoting his saying "when is the bitch going to die", which is only hear say. You're hateful people who don't care how many others you step on for Terri's sake. You make yourselves look like imbeciles when you don't accept expert medical opinions that are contrary to what you want to believe. You align yourself with her desperate parents, who took this case to every court in the land, and were still told that the LAW prevails.
You don't like the law, work to change it. That's what this case was really all about..A husbands right to make a decision for his own wife, AND our right to a living will, which you and your comrades want to take away from us.
If you are so fearful that someone is going to KILL you, go to a lawyer and have your desires to be kept alive at all cost and effort put in writing. I promise you, no one would dare try to starve you to death. You can simply lay there and suck the life and money out of your relations till you breathe your last miserable breath, probably much to the relief of those you left behind. I don't honestly care what you do..
But know this, YOU and your pack of wild hyenas will never take away my right to die with dignity. NEVER! Now, go pound sand...pretty please.
I did read it & do recall when
I read it in a transcript
online months ago.
You weren't wrong at all.
Ah, this is where I came in; you're the one who said that.
What, your arms weigh 30 pounds? Big boy, huh?
You'd rather someone suffer in agony until they died, even tho they begged to be killed or tried to kill themselves?
That's brutal torture. Inhumane.
I am a Protestant 1000%.
Too bad so many people just don't get it. But it does make for, shall we say, interesting threads;o}
THAT was a really good rant.
I like this part BEST:
"YOU KNOW it's difficult for ME to be honest? You know nothing. You don't even understand how you and the rest of your ilk crucify and destroy people all while claiming God is on your side. Terri WAS called home, but not in the way you wanted her to be called. Think about that, if you can still think."
I remember all of the prayer threads that said, "Thy will be done".
Some days, the answer not what we want or expect.
And some people here don't LIKE that.
LOL good one, mountaineer!
btw, I am reading the deposition I wanna know put up, and this "Father" sounds like a Felos shill:
"I am secular as opposed to being a Jesuit or Dominican or Franciscan, which follow
11
the rule of that particular saint. I was just
ordained to a diocese and obey a bishop. "

And I think when assisted suicide passes in the State of Florida, as I believe it will, that they will not have to market it because the people I know, and I think with due respect, the reason I found this such an unusual situation is that virtually everyone I know is terrified of a case like this. That is why I believe they would line up to take a pill or shot and go to sleep. "
Any questions?
No need to read something sinister into that. All it means is that he was a diocesan priest rather than a member of a religious order.

Sounds to me like he's simply reporting what he hears from people he talks to.
