Why would somebody who claims he doesn't believe in GOD - study the Bible ..?? Hmmmmm??AND - 'with more fervor than most Christians!' Yeah, it is strange. Maybe he was suffering from wanting to be a Christian and being repressed by his own atheist friends and family.
