Katie Holmes' new Scientology "handler" is church "royalty" whose family made millions in business and the stock market - and went on to be plagued by charges of religious harassment and linked to Medicare fraud, The Post has learned. Jessica Rodriguez has emerged as the woman who's been irking Warner Bros. Pictures by shadowing the "Batman Begins" star 24/7 during Holmes' press blitz.

I've read about Scientology and how they attempt to control their "members" and have used violence and threats of violence. I don't mean to say that they are a direct threat to anyone not involved with them.
I know two people whose parents were in Scientology - two different families, (actually 4 people if you count siblings of the people I know personally) and they have all been royally screwed up by the organization. Royally. Let's just every now adult kid has either substance abuse problems, psychological problems, severe anger issues to the point that they harm themselves and other people, and the like.
And as kooky and ridiculous as their "beliefs" seem to rational people, there are many Scientologists who are in positions of influence in many fields of endeavor - Greta Van Sustern and her hubby, for instance, and many Hollyweird types. They are heavy into the euthanasia movement as well.
They would like to be thought harmless.
He considered himself a black witch/warlock and was indeed a Satan worshipper, from my reading about him. A homosexual pedophile as well. Very nasty creature. And to have him as a mentor says volumes.
The creators are scientologists? Are you certain?
I know Isaac Hayes (Chef) is.
Yep
Die hard too.
Actually, I thought Hubbard added the religion stuff to his psychotherapy pyramid scheme because religion was where the money was. Thus, he turned it into a religion. THere may have been a bet with Heinlein, too.
Out of curiosity, where can I go to find out more info on Crowley?
I believe that Crowley looked down on Hubbard with contempt, calling him a "lout", and that Hubbard stole his girlfriend.
Yes. I personally know people this has happened to.
The most famous case is probably H. Keith Henson (google for more than you ever wanted to know), who currently has political asylum outside the US. In his case, he (a former high-level scientologist) published rather questionable and damning internal documents that exposed some of the ugly insides of that organization, and was charged and successfully convicted of something like copyright and trade secret infringement (for a "religion"?) that led to a long and very ugly saga.
The scientologists do not mess around. They will brazenly attack and intimidate anyone who crosses them, and at a minimum will attempt to bankrupt you via utterly pointless and contrived legal harrassment. Some European countries, like Germany, have banned the organization outright for being an unsavory and probably criminal enterprise.
Wow, you REALLY don't know anything about them, do you?
Got anything to back that up with?
Your joking right?
Thats like me saying Bush is a former governor of texas and you wanting proof.
Stone and Parker are pretty open and honest about it, along with their political views.
If it takes you more then 30 seconds to find it on google, check your spelling.
Anything she has to do with scientology is irrelevant to me, if she wants to hang with a bunch of geeks who memorize star wars dialogue, so be it
I googled some time ago. But I don't like google any more, so I don't know about other search engines. I've also seen Crowley mentioned in a book or two, I think the last one was "The Pink Swastika" by Scott Lively and Kevin Abrams, which is a fascinating and well-researched read about homosexuality and the Nazi philosophy.
If Crowley had a girlfriend, I guess he was all over the map sexually. But it's pretty much known that he was also into boys. And very weird dark practices. He was a very vile sicko.
And just see - Hubbard wasn't even good enough for him!
Easiest way, hit wilkpedia.
Put in their names, they have bios there.
Wilkpedia - oh, now there's a reliable source - NOT! Anyone can add and edit the entries in there. And the note about the Parks and Stone was editted in.
Any good or interesting books out thereregarding Crowley?
Sorry, I don't know of any books just about Crowley. I don't think I'd really want to read one, either. Check out "The Pink Swastika" and take it from there. There may be footnotes in the book for further reading, it's footnoted all over the place.
You got a point.
I just noticed, they have changed the entry since I last saw it.
Before it had some kind of scientology propaganda included with them.
Every now and then, they give interviews, and they ramble, but somehow, someway, scientology always comes up, and while I do not believe them hiring Issac Hayes was related at all, I'm sure it didn't hurt (he sounds like a geek too).
Church of Scientology....
this Cult is verging on the Criminal.
didn't they once put a rattlesnake inside a whistleblower's mailbox?
God has let shallow Hollywood types get trapped into this
Looneybin.
There is only one name under heaven by which we are Saved....Jesus the son of God. By his shed blood on calvary are our sins washed away.
this is not Old...but current and fresh and new every day.
