Good Monday to you all, fellow Freepers and political junkies. I trust everyone had a nice weekend and a good Father's Day. The Senate will convene at 2PM today. They are scheduled for several hours of debate on the Energy bill, then at 6PM, Frist will call for a cloture vote on the nomination of John Bolton for US Ambassador to the UN. Follow along, and comment, as usual..

They love to drive the point home that some little group of thugs has taken over the Republican Party. When they say, "The people.....", they ignore the MAJORITY who voted for the Republicans. Of course, they like to ignore us.

How did the recorded vote in the House on the Obey Amendment turn out?
After Sonny Purdue was elected Governor here in GA in 2002 Pelosi went national with comments that the reason Georgians voted for Purdue was only because of the flag issue and we in GA were all racist. I personally didn't even know the flag was still an issue.
I called up Pelosi's offices for days. Each time I asked the staffer Mrs. Pelosi's stand on different local GA issues. Of cource they didn't know a rat's behind about GA. I even asked them to describe my racist ways. I bugged the heck out her office for a few days of her stupid comments about knowing what GA voters think.
Haven't gotten to Levin's book yet. I'm still reading "Reagan's War." Honestly, at the end of each chapter, I say out loud "thank God we had that man as prez." Even though I lived through the Carter years, it astounds me how naive and foolish his presidency was. Maybe if it wasn't we wouldn't have elected Reagan. But speculation is a waste of time. I just thank God for him!

Why am I not surprised? They probably have never even been to Georgia. I have relatives at Benning, beautiful state, great people! I can assure that Ms. Pelosi has never ever been to Indiana!
