I doubt that Natalee Holloway is on Aruba -


Daddy Van Der Sloot has been questioned twice now by investigators - and the prosecutors have a motion to block any further contact with his son Joran Van Der Sloot -

If it turns out both father and son are involved in covering up the death of Natalee Holloway - Aruba's big tourism industry will suffer greatly even more - The father is up for a Judgeship and is a minor government official -

"Dutch justice" is pulling another Van Gogh - why cut off an ear when a head is more dramatic -

Note that every time you hear an Aruba investigator's PR lady, government PR rep, or even Aruba journalist - "There is no crime on Aruba" (if you discount the recently beheaded man) - "Stupid movie stories about drug cartels!"

Aruba is known to be a main conduit for the Columbian drug cartels -

An former Aruba policeman got into an loud insane rant on FNC demanding Natalee's family should be made to undergo lie detector testing by the FBI -

I saw that pig on FNC. A fire engine went down the street with sirens blaring near the conclusion of his remarks, but I "think" I heard him make a smartass remark in response to the FNC hostess saying "thank you but were out of time."

The crime situation in Aruba appears to be something different than what was advertised...or there has been a coincidental spike in criminal activity that just happens to coincide with all of the media attention focused on the Holloway case.

FNC had the editor of a local Aruba newspaper on a few minutes ago -

He was not doing a CYA - He cririticized the investigation - letting the 3 go so they could concoct stories and alibies - and said Daddy Van Der Sloot his probably helped his son Joran with a story

I think the father may have actually been involved with getting rid of Natalee Holloway's dead body - perhaps contacting someone to dispose of her where she can never be found

I'd say the father came up with the "blame the hotel security guards" stuff - Remember - Those two were arrested based on the statements of Johan Van Der Sloot and the other two now held - and being transferred from jail to prison

Note they searched those two men's homes and vehicles immediately - but as far as the Van Der Sloot's home and vehicles - Official CYA comment was/is: "We can't just act like cowboys and search people's homes and cars!"

The Van Der Sloat family has hired an attorney now to defend them

The body is most likely at sea - deep out at sea

A cave on Aruba possibly could be later found out

I'm tending to agree with you. I don't like that Van Der Slut family at all. We already know the kid is a spoiled, indulged brat with anger management difficulties otherwise known as sociopathy.

I'm still leaning towards JVDS being the Aruban Robert Chambers, but he had help disposing of the body. The father is starting to look more and more like the likely candidate.

Father, uncle, stepfather - said he talked with Paul Van Der Sloot early after Natalee disappeared

Said Daddy Van Der Sloot was an arrogant obnoxious ---

Joran Van Der Sloot was seen by everyone in "Carlos 'n Charlie's" - and it is impossible that the bar manager did not know who hw was and how old he is - 17 years old -

To me it seems that transferring the 3 to prison will only make questioning them and investigating more difficult

Prison will not loosen their tongues - unless the other two panic - There has been info that their latest stories differed from Joran's - but I thought all that was confidential and could not be released as it would jeopardize the case......

The whole damn case is sickening. I know that Natalee's family has had to hire a local attorney, just so they can get thangs explained to them. Cover -up? You bet. And several people on that God forsaken island know exactly what happened to her and damn them all.

Good food for thought. Why would a UA bound pre-med student, scholarship+, high academic GPA and upward bound career potential, just runaway?

It is apparent the Aruban politicos/authorities are now trying to obtain a some wriggle room in this case. I wonder if they wanted the first three perps to take a polygraph? I have my doubts, but it apparently it is conducive for Natalee's parent's to take the exam.

I hope they take the polygraphs(the Holloways's) so we can add more incompetent/stonewalling cover-up egg on the face of the Aruban authorities/politicos.

I think the plan is to intimidate, embarrass, and put misplaced blame on the victim/victim's parent's. I have to imagine Aruban authorities have been sent a copy of the DNC playbook.

Aruba's politicos/authorities are playing the old CYA game. I know there are good people who live in Aruba and they will be the most affected when the tourism industry from America drys up. The (well to do) never suffer the consequences for their actions or inactions.

that was Jossy Mansour, editor of El Diario, and i caught part of this AM's interview. he was a little different than when he was on on Fri PM. Cajungirl posted a long article describing all of the criminal activity on the island of Aruba and Cosa Nostra connections etc. The Mansour family was mentioned prominently in that article and this Jossy in particular. If he is criticizing Van Der Sloot, then something has changed. on friday PM on Greta's show with the martha person, he sounded exactly like a mouthpiece for the gov't. If his tune has changed then something is different.

Many small countries have cliques that realy run the place. They try and stay well below the radar...I remember the first time I went to Aruba...late 70's ..one of the things that stands out was the great shortage of rent-a-cars on the island...it was nearly impossible to get a car..Which made no sense, until one realized that the strongest voting block on the island are the Taxi-drivers..

I finally made it to the end of the last thread after several days and many hours of reading and following links, only to discover a link to a new thread! So I'm still trying to catch up, but meanwhile I'm continuing in prayer for Natalee and her family and for the truth to come out.

The detective instincts of many of my fellow FReepers truly amaze me.

i think if aruba's "skin" was to be pulled back and all exposed, it would be pretty frightening. i doubt that is going to happen just bc of this case, they will cut bait and give up smaller fry i would bet, in order to preserve business as usual.

i think it is actually a good thing to have Americans viewing what it is like dealing with the gov't elsewhere, as a point of comparison. Since so many love to bash our own way of doing things. One thing that was very noticeable in the interview of Jossy Mansour on Friday, Martha whatshername was interviewing him as a if he were a US journalist, operating at crosspurposes with the gov't. he did not come across that way at all, he kept saying, oh we don't know that, they would not tell us that, etc. in response to her questions and she just let them drop.
