In my state it is legal to point a flashlight at any hour
Look, I have not once indicated that I thought Joran was innocent. As a matter of fact, if what we are hearing is accurate, it is pretty damning. The interview last night with Greta and Jug was ridiculous. Didn't anyone notice that everything was Jug's? My friends, my attorney, my investigators, my, my, my. Jug was petty and arrogant and what is most interesting is that he showed far more contempt towards the father than he does Joran himself. As a matter of fact, the morning after Jug arrived in Aruba, his first press comments indicated that the father was a slimeball or something of that nature. It seems that he has pretty much wrapped the case up and one of his most compelling arguments is that the VanderSloot family was not wearing Natalee bracelets and they were not out looking for her. Now that is evidence if you ask me. The authorites have locked up these boys, they have extended their detention and they still have an ongoing investigation. No one really knows what has come out in the interrogations, what evidence they have and who else they could be looking at in this matter. Jug needs to shut up and quit acting like..... yep I will say it again, a vigilante.
I agree that I hope everyone stays. If Rippersnapper should apologize for anything it should be his/her choice of words. NOT for the opinion...
And if apologizing for use of words is in order.. Rippersnapper should be receiving some as well.
Emotions run VERY high in these cases... when you really face it the ONLY thing we can do from where we sit at our computers is pray for all involved.
This is a case of good parental supervision on part of the VDS's. NSNR
This is there strategy. NSNR
LOL......damn straight!
Plus, after they all talked at the house, the entire group trooped down to the casino to see Joran and his pal, one of the brothers. That's when he got so huffy with Beth Holloway.
The Dutch believe that people can be rehabilitated. In my research, it looks like the typical sentence is about 12-15 yrs. In addition, about 1/4-1/3 of the sentence gets cut for good behavior.
The extreme circumstances do not exist in this case...trust me, there is a recent case of a guy who killed his 4 yr old daughter and cut her up into little pieces, and he got 12 yrs....
Oh, btw, attempted murder gets you 2-4...
Psst......the latest reports say that they are at a deadlock with nothing further to investigate.
No one really knows what has come out in the interrogations, what evidence they have and who else they could be looking at in this matter.
It's pretty obvious they have ZIP.
Jug needs to shut up and quit acting like..... yep I will say it again, a vigilante.
God forbid a FATHER would have a word to say about a coverup to prevent him from finding out what they did to his daughter.
Twigs those hands will always be wanting on an American dollar. The sad part from the Potus, congress and house these fools continue to grace these unthankful hands with our tax dollars.
The American blame game is the opiate of the communists, liberals, elitists and terrorists.NSNR
Just a note: Jug is Natalee's Step-father.
No body = scott-free.
How do you know what would have happened?..If it wasn't for the vigilance of the Holloway family and all of us supporters out here those bums would probably still be on the streets!
I like Greta too. I don't watch her show too often b/c I'm not usually interested in her topic and I would rather read. But when I do, I'm almost always impressed. She has a real ability to get to families in pain and interview them without walking all over them. Personally, I like her trying to understsand the VDS's point of view. While I think Joran knows something and may end up being responsible, I certainly don't know that for sure. I tend to think that Natalee died by accident, maybe from a date rate drug, etc. But the brothers are also involved and I just don't know what to think. But I think we need to look at all sides and I think Greta is second to none in doing that.
I have two stepdaughters; believe me, I AM their mother, too.
I admire Natalee's mom. The "cheeriness" you speak of, I think, just comes from being a gracious lady, in the true sense of the word lady. And I hope I could be as tenacious and hopeful as she, were I in the same dreadful situation.
BUT. She has been making a PR mistake, as you say, that could be making things worse: I think some of her statements, implying that a lot of Arubans know what happened to Natalee and just aren't being forthcoming, are bound to anger and alienate a lot of innocent and well-meaning people.
Such things were said in understandably frustrated and emotional moments. I give her further credit for recognizing that, and I think she's trying to back away from that kind of accusatory overreach.

Have you heard that he doesn't even live under the same roof as they do? He's in a separate apartment attached to their house. A 17 y.o. boy. Have they no sense?
You are not alone. She taught the public more about law during the OJ trial than any other that I have watched on television. I give her kudos.
